Now that there is a traffic bump on Kirkwood at Maple St, will the signs be added back that tells motor vehicles to stop for pedestrians when they are crossing Kirkwood? Traffic is still very fast and endanger pedestrians trying to get across Kirkwood. Thanks!
Dead female deer on grass next to Miller Showers paved walking path on North College (directly across the street is Enterprise rent-a-car). Lots of flies on body, scent is faint near intersection and mild but present at body. No visible maggots yet, body is not yet showing bloat. Would be imperative to remove before it gets to that stage. Probably dead since morning. Saw st 1:50 pm and still present at 3:30 pm August 31,2026.
A stop sign at 7th and Longview (near Relato apartments) is completely obscured by a tree branch (for south bound drivers). A saw a car blast through it on Friday.
Recycling trucks picked up the recycling on our regular trash day today, but it looks like the garbage collection truck did not hit the north side of the 700 block of E. University St.(southside collection looks like it was done.)
There is a dead deer on the grass between the sidewalk and N College Ave at approximately 1600 N College Ave. It has been there since Saturday, August 29th. It is starting to rot and fester.
The large street light near the parking at 514 W Kirkwood is out and the tenants would like it in working order for safety. Not sure whom it responsible for this light? Any help would be wonderful.
Abandoned car has been parked on Jackson st just south of 4th street. The car has been there over 14 days. Silver Toyota Camry.
Overgrowth between S Morton to West smith ave. Needs mowed badly. Previously this was dealt with every year but nothing this year. The Madison park community would like clear site line to the B-line trail.
