Terrible smell in bathroom and along entire street. Multiple other residents making the same complaint. My mother has owned this house for 40 years and says the city needs to flush the line in order to control the smell!
There is a very strong sewer smell down W Gourley pike. The smell has been a common nuisance for several years and has only become worse. The smell is now traveling into the house and at times is so strong it actually makes it hard to breathe. It is not only my residence but several other neighbors are having the exact same issue. I know that this has been reported before over the course of several years but something needs to be done. Not only is it bad for our health (can cause headaches, nausea, breathing difficulties, severe cases can cause seizures, as well as the trapped gasses can become an asphyxiant or become a fire hazard.It can also lead to back ups that end up damaging our own residential plumbing pipes. It would be greatly appreciated if the city could come flush the sewer lines over here. Thank you
We have had a couple flooding in the basement here coming from the shower drain. A plumber who looked at it suggested that there may be a buildup - or at least a tendency to build up - in the pipes at or around the transfer to the city pipes. Is there any way for this to determine whether or not the root cause of the flooding is a problem with the city pipes, or the home plumbing? Thank you for your time
We have been experiencing sewer gas smell primarily in our master bathroom shower for the last 2-3 weeks, especially in the morning. We have only lived at this location for a year and 4 months. We experienced it around the same time last year. A neighbor suggested we reach out to let the City know since she believes the City needs to do something with the sewer system which is out front of our home on S. Springhouse Drive to "clean it out"?? We have also noticed this past week while walking in the Renwick neighborhood that you can smell sewer gas in various parts of the neighborhood as well. neighbor reports there is sewage leaking from this demolition site. "There is an active stream coming from the sanitary sewer adjacent to 203 E. 10th, NE corner of Washington and 10th"
I've noticed a bad smell near the storm drain in front of my house (and in back on the alley). It smells somewhat like the odor added to natural gas, similar enough that my neighbor next door on the south asked me if that's what it is. I think not but it does smell like some sewer contents, although sanitary sewer contents shouldn't be mingling with storm sewer contents should they? Thanks!
I am writing on behalf of the tenant, Kamala to request that the City check if there is a sewer clog or other issue causing her washing machine, toilet and bathtub to drain slow and cause water to overflow onto her carpet and flooring. Since she reported problems I (landlord) have hired a contractor who augered the exterior cleanout and snaked from the interior drain. Both were clear until reaching to approx the middle of the road in front of the house. Her neighbor across the street (last house on left before train tracks) is also having problems with water back-ups.

Ongoing issue over past several months with strong sewage smell and overflow from what looks like a cistern. Does not appear to be related to rainfall. Problem happened approx 2 years ago & has returned. Neighbors have asked me to file uReport.
The sewer cover in this area was covered with soil over the winter when snowplows came through to clear the snow from the grassy area to locate water/sewer lines. You can no longer see it. It is possible that it needs to be cleaned out based on issues I'm experiencing in my home nearby.
