Water Utility Problems

2001 E Arden DR

Case Date:
8/27/2026

There is a tap water leak under the road, in the right of way at 2001 E Arden Dr, across from E Windsor Dr. The picture doesn't show it well, but it has been consistently filling the roadside for weeks, through the driest of weather. It may not seem like much now, but this spot can become a thick ribbon of ice and a hazard when pedestrians need to step off of the road. This spot has leaked a few times over the past 20 years, and been repaired a few times.

Potholes, Other Street Repair

2671 E Covenanter DR

Case Date:
8/27/2026

About 10 yards south of the Covenanter-College Mall intersection, against the median divider, on east edge of the south-bound lanes, there's a (working from visual memory here) concrete patch that has had a deep gap in it for the past year or two. It's unpleasant when my tires go over it. Maybe it can be patched.

Street Trees

Kensington Pl

Case Date:
8/27/2026

There are several dead branches and broken tree limbs along Kensington Place in Bloomington, likely caused by the recent storm. Could the City please inspect the area and remove the dead or broken branches? If possible, it would also be helpful to trim some of the overhanging branches to prevent additional limbs from falling. The branches are creating an issue along the street and some have been falling onto parked vehicles. Thank you for looking into this and helping make the street safer.

A commercial, medium-duty International refrigerated box truck has been parked long-term on a residential property for several years. The vehicle is a commercial fleet vehicle displaying truck unit number "001" and US DOT registration number "2311710". It is not actively being used for delivery or residential service. Instead, it is being stored long-term in direct view of the neighborhood.Observed Municipal Code & Zoning Violations:Parking on an Unimproved Surface (BMC Section 15.32.025):The commercial truck is parked directly on the residential grass/lawn rather than an approved asphalt or concrete surface.Commercial Vehicle Storage in a Residential District:The vehicle is a large, non-residential commercial fleet truck with a refrigerated cooling unit (reefer). Storing commercial logistics/freight equipment on a residential property violates local zoning boundaries and exceeds permitted home occupation standards.Chronic/Long-Term Abandoned Storage:This vehicle has remained on the property for years, functioning as long-term outdoor industrial storage rather than active residential transport.Requested Action:Please dispatch a Code Enforcement Officer from Housing and Neighborhood Development (HAND) or a Zoning Compliance Officer from the Planning and Transportation Department to inspect the property, document the unimproved surface violation, and issue a formal Notice of Violation to the property owner.(Attaching the provided photo to this complaint for visual evidence.)
