Along the northern property line of 2520 N Fritz Drive a serious flooding problem occurs each time there is heavy rainfall. Flooding occurs in my back yard. I have taken videos of this problem. The rainfall from North Dunn Street cascades westward down onto the property behind my home. That business has a large parking lot. That allows water from Dunn Street to run onto my property. If the trees are removed and a street is added on the property at 2511 N Dunn Street, the problem that now exists for my back yard will increasingly become worse. I have added several loads of topsoil to the back yard due to erosion and to protect the home's foundation. At the front of my property, I also have flooding issues. Fritz Drive has a download slope towards N Walnut Street. Floodwaters run into my driveway and erode that area. I have had landscapers add several loads of topsoil and install drainage pipes to relieve some of the water issues. These floodwaters from North Dunn into our neighborhood are channeled westward beneath North Walnut into Cascades Park. There are issues of pollution with these floodwaters. Health issues should be considered for our community members.

Uneven surface next to driveway that is getting quite deep, fills up with water when it rains. Also very uneven sidewalk all the way to corner.

Corner house at intersection of S Eastside Drive and E Second. Dead branch has fallen from a tree in the yard and is hanging over E Second Street on another branch. It may fall during the next storm and land directly on the travelled part of the road.

There's a paved path on the east side of the bypass north of 7th the runs north of the tunnel under the bypass for bikes and pedestrians. The trees are heavily overgrown and will hit you in the face on a bike without warning. Needs cut and trimmed to make it look real nice!

Can the speed limit be reduced near the entrance of Switchyard Park on S. Rogers Street? This is an entrance to the city's largest park and there will be a pedestrian crossing built that will also cross S. Rogers Street, to the park entrance. Currently, the speed is 30 mph, which will be too fast for a pedestrian crossing and the current busy park entrance. Per City Ordinance 18-09, the speed is reduced on Winslow Rd around Allendale Dr. to accommodate for the pedestrian crossing that is near a city park. Other examples of reduced speed near park entrances includes (but not limited to): S. Highland Ave near Winslow Sports Complex and E. Morningside Dr. near Park Ridge East Park.

The left turn signal on eastbound Winslow to turn north into Walnut is way too short. It's allowing 2-3 vehicles maximum per green arrow. It took 3 light cycles for me to get through. This arrow used to be longer before the detour on Rogers. Classic City of Bloomington government to push all of Rogers traffic into this turn lane as the detour and not get the lights working with the increase in traffic flow. Go check it out please! I am submitting a complaint regarding what I believe was an unreasonable and predatory towing incident involving Tow Time Solutions and the Hampton Inn Bloomington located at 2100 N. Walnut Street in Bloomington, Indiana. On April 23, 2026, I was a registered overnight guest at the Hampton Inn Bloomington. Prior to arrival, I completed digital check-in through Hilton’s mobile app and was issued a digital room key. Upon arriving at the hotel around 8:15 p.m., the front desk was unattended, so I proceeded directly to my room using the digital key provided through Hilton’s system. At no point during the digital check-in process was I provided any direct notification that an additional parking registration step was required in order to avoid towing. The following morning, I discovered that my vehicle had been towed by Tow Time Solutions despite being a legitimate paying hotel guest. I was required to pay approximately $300 to retrieve my vehicle and had to cancel work obligations, arrange transportation to the tow facility, and spend significant time resolving the issue. My concern is not simply the existence of parking signage or permit policies, but rather the manner in which towing enforcement was conducted against an authorized guest without any reasonable verification process. The hotel had an active reservation, digital check-in record, and occupied room associated with my stay, yet neither the hotel nor the towing company appears to have made any attempt to verify whether the vehicle belonged to a registered guest before towing it. Additionally, the hotel’s use of digital check-in creates a reasonable expectation that guests can complete arrival procedures without front desk interaction. Requiring an additional undocumented step while the front desk is unattended creates a foreseeable risk of confusion for guests and raises concerns regarding fairness, consumer protection, and accessibility. I believe this situation reflects predatory towing practices because: the vehicle belonged to a verified hotel guest, no warning or attempt at guest verification occurred prior to towing, the towing fee was excessive relative to the circumstances, and the enforcement process appeared designed to maximize towing revenue rather than reasonably manage unauthorized parking. I respectfully request review of the towing practices associated with this property and Tow Time Solutions, including whether reasonable consumer protections, guest verification procedures, and accessibility considerations are being followed before vehicles are towed from hotel property.
