Sidewalk broken. Accessibility issue
Sidewalk broken. Accessibility issue
These abandoned non functioning cars continue to be an issue since my last report. There are now6-7 cars parked in the backyard and the drive way. My attached photo is of a derby car that he worked on usually at night. Between the noise and the junk we have had enough.
These hand rails stick into the public sidewalk - a pedestrian not paying attention could run into these or a bicyclist could really have a collision with these. In at least two places. And they have put reflective tape on them which seems to indicate past problems.
The house on the NW corner of 10th and Park is a Chickering rental. The old light in the NE corner of their backyard finally burned out and they replaced it with a very bright light that is casting annoying light on both neighboring houses close by (715 and 711 E. 10th) all night long. Can you ask them to shield the light or redirect it so that it only lights up their property and does not shed blinding light on the neighbors? You'd think the would know better than to do something like this. Isn't there some sort of light trespass law?
Entire roof being removed in historic district - concerns it is not permitted work and concerns for spread of moldy / asbestos contaminated insulation being thrown
New Renters using grassy public park as parking lot, Well beyond 723 w Allen st. properly line
No one has came to plow this road at all
The alley to access this property is overgrown and causing damage to cars trying to access this property.
Every time it rains our street floods severely and then backs up onto the sidewalks and coats them in a thick layer of mud. It’s a combination of heavy storms that the storm drain on the corner of 12th and Walnut cannot keep up with and a residual problem caused by the fiberware that was installed last year. Ever since they dug up the corner of 12th and Walnut the ground is nothing but mud and has been slowly taking over the sidewalk. It is unsafe to walk on as it is incredibly slippery and is at least an inch thick.
The North/South alley between 810 W. 7th and 804 W. 7th is being encroached upon by gardens, woodpiles, trees/vegetation and possibly the fence and cinder block garage owned by 810 W 7th St. As a result, the alley traffic is being diverted outside of the alley right of way and onto the private property located at 804 W. 7th. This appears to have been going on for a number of years. As the new owner of 804 W. 7th St., it is my full intention to re-claim the property/property line currently being encroached upon and proceed with renovations. I request that the Street Dept contact the owner of 810 W. 7th and order the encroachments be removed. With the assistance of a surveyor, I have located the NW and SW corner pins delineating the right of way and pounded new T posts just outside of the right of way in those spots and plan to post the entire property line once the encroachments are removed. Were I to reclaim the property line today, the alley would become impassible due to said encroachments. I request your assistance in remedying this situation in a civil and legal manner, as requests to the homeowner of 810 W.7th have fallen upon deaf ears. I request that you keep me in the loop regarding this issue. I would be happy to meet with a representative of the street dept, with survey in hand, to assist in clarifying and remedying this issue, as renovations of 804 W. 7th will begin in a few weeks. Thank you for your attention in this manner, Sincerely, Rick Laux Goldfinch Properties LLC Van Zile LLC 812/606-8332 [email protected]
