Winslow-Rogers (Allendale to Sare) Resurfacing | City of Bloomington, Indiana

This project will provide asphalt resurfacing on Winslow Road and Rogers Road between Allendale Drive and Sare Road. The project also includes sidewalk curb ramp improvements, crosswalk improvements including installation of a median island for crossing Winslow Road at Xavier Court and a median island for crossing Rogers Road at Spicewood Lane, installation of a concrete truck apron and widened splitter islands at the Winslow/High/Rogers roundabout, pavement marking replacements, sign updates, and stormwater infrastructure updates including installation of a rain garden near Xavier Court.

Up to 50% of project funding is provided by the Community Crossings Matching Grant program.

Design: 2024
Construction: Tentatively scheduled for April, 2025 through July, 2025.

Winslow/High/Rogers Round-A-Bout Closure Information

Closure dates will be from Tuesday May 27th 2025 through Monday July 14th 2025
Signage will be in place to direct traffic through the detoured area
Detour will include Henderson St, Hillside Dr/Moores Pike, and Sare Rd
Rogers Family Park will remain open
- The parks parking lot will be closed. Childs Elementary will allow parking at the school for park visitors when school is not in session
- The eastern side pedestrian crossing of the Round-A-Bout will remain open, however, there may be limited closure while road work is done near the pedestrian facility
- There is a new stairwell to the west of the Round-A-Bout for the park. It connects the sidewalk from the southwest to the path within the park
