There are people living in a trailer powered by a very loud generator in a house without utilities at 703 W. 7th Street. Is there anything that can be done to remedy this situation? The man who is swatting in the house is a bully who intimidates the neighbors. The man who owned the property recently died. ed house w

Biking & Walking

Approximately 800 N. Smith Rd.

Case Date:
5/8/2026

Bike lanes on N. Smith Rd.need to be swept. The south bound lane from the Short Stop to Grandview Is particularly bad - full of yard waste, road debris, small bits of gravel, etc. Near the top of the hill, where the 14 foot sign is, there is a bush growing over the lane and face-slapping vegetation hanging down over the lane. I’m wondering if there is any regular schedule for sweeping bike lanes? At best, it seems this one gets swept about once a year. Sweeping the hill every couple of months wouldn’t be too often. The bike lane is narrower than recommended width to begin with. It gets really dangerous when we have to ride near the white lane (or sometimes in the car lane). The painted lines make drivers believe everything is ok as long as they stay between their lines and they don’t realize how closely they are passing vulnerable bicyclists. I’m sorry I don’t have pictures of the bike lane. But it should be easy to see what I’m writing about, especially if you are on a bicycle.

Yard torn up where Comcast did some work a couple months ago. I tried to get Comcast to take care of this but got nothing from them - even after many calls and promises that someone would get back to me. On two seperate occasions I got case numbers. # ECM 0020878893 and ECM 0020232690 and was even told after one of them to keep my line open because I would be getting a call right back. No call came. I have written down much of what has happened during this quest if you want more info. I believe whoever is responsible should put this professionally landscaped area back together. /Users/Janet/Desktop/Comcast Yard Issue/comcast work.jpeg

Potholes, Other Street Repair

609 W 6th ST

Case Date:
5/8/2026

When W 6th St was repaved last year they didn't bring all the sewer access covers ("manholes") up to the level of the new pavement. The one in front of the driveway to the Fairview Methodist Church is especially bad. It could cause a bicycle to wreck. It nearly caused me to get hit by a car when I was avoiding it. There are a couple of others (one square and another round) in the westbound lane that are also bad, but they are often covered by parked cars. (I put the dot on your map where the problem is, but the address is actually 600 W 6th since it's on the north side of the street.)

Potholes, Other Street Repair

E Elliston Dr

Case Date:
5/8/2026

All of Elliston really needs to be repaved. Last summer several streets in Sherwood Oaks was repaved, but Elliston was not one of them. There are several spots that frequently need refilling. I know it's not a major thoroughfare in the neighborhood, but there is a lot of both vehicle/bicycle/foot traffic due to the park at the end of the street. At the end of the street, right before you get to the park, there are now massive potholes and uneven pavement. This is also in front of a residence. It seems like it is getting pretty dangerous.
