Terrible smell in bathroom and along entire street. Multiple other residents making the same complaint. My mother has owned this house for 40 years and says the city needs to flush the line in order to control the smell!
There is a very strong sewer smell down W Gourley pike. The smell has been a common nuisance for several years and has only become worse. The smell is now traveling into the house and at times is so strong it actually makes it hard to breathe. It is not only my residence but several other neighbors are having the exact same issue. I know that this has been reported before over the course of several years but something needs to be done. Not only is it bad for our health (can cause headaches, nausea, breathing difficulties, severe cases can cause seizures, as well as the trapped gasses can become an asphyxiant or become a fire hazard.It can also lead to back ups that end up damaging our own residential plumbing pipes. It would be greatly appreciated if the city could come flush the sewer lines over here. Thank you
We have had a couple flooding in the basement here coming from the shower drain. A plumber who looked at it suggested that there may be a buildup - or at least a tendency to build up - in the pipes at or around the transfer to the city pipes. Is there any way for this to determine whether or not the root cause of the flooding is a problem with the city pipes, or the home plumbing? Thank you for your time
There is a new asphalt patch in Olive street after recent utility work that is insufficiently high to fill the gap, and therefore is hazardous to bicyclists. This is part of a larger pattern of asphalt patches being applied inadequately along the Hawthorne-Weatherstone and Thornton-Arden bikeways. I appreciate that the city went back and addressed the bad patches on Hawthorne at southdowns and on Thornton between Highland and Maxwell after I reported them, but I would prefer if the patches could be done well the first time.

The drainage ditch along Eagleson overgrows with noxious weeds. I have just meticulously weeded and swept it, and was wondering if it could be tarred or sealed in some way, to reduce cracks where soil is exposed and weeds can take hold. ..? Can the homeowner do this? Or is this city property? Any products/advice would be welcome.
The growth of weeds/tree saplings are creating debri in the storm sewer bordering my house. This is causing blockages and preventing the normal flow of the storm sewer water.
I live in on Indiana Ave and 12th St. and around 4:15 this morning, construction acitivities (including what sounds like jackhammering) started up and have not stopped since. I have important events later this morning and desperately need sleep, but cannot fall asleep due to the noise. Every municipal code I checked made it seem like this loud activity is not permitted at this time of night.
