Storm box behind 2 properties thats takes in city water runoff from streets and properties and leads down two culverts to a concrete drain box. I work for Anthonys Lawncare-Landscape and tree removal and just cleaned 50ft at about a foot deep to clear culvert and re-do one property we were paid to regrade ect. When it rains the drain box is completely boxed in with one 5/8ths size pvc pipe to take water in (really makes no sence to me ) when rains properties hold water like a pond and fill concrete culvert drains with sediment and mud ect. Question is to send someone to investigate and see what can be fone about opening concrete drain box to take more water in to the outflow pipe over hill. Its been a problem for alot of years and now that i have everything clean and exposed the problem would be alot easier to diognose and fix. Thank you so much it this doesnt get fixed all the work i did at this adress listed will be for nothing. ( The drainbox sits in backyard to this address listed to east next door!).

2nd year for this resident clearing and raking their leaves into street and storm drainage edge blocking the flow and clogging the storm drain. Leaving this pile in the street creates slipping hazards for motorists/cyclists and clogs the storm drains all the way to the end of the street due to being on a slight hill, which triggers the street to eventually flood & a layer of ice during the colder temperatures. I would appreciate your assistance in communicating with this resident to the problem they are creating, along with any means to assist them in appropriately removing their yard debris, or even providing leaf bags before they get compacted down and are harder for them to remove.

Water floods the street every time it rains. There is no rain gutters or drains on this street.

We’ve lived here for decades. The sewer drain across the street and directly to the west overflow with even an hour of rain. These are old, limestone houses, so most of us park in the street or one car in the driveway. We’re all , mostly,60-75 yr old people. It’s not only so dark outside, if it rains, it’s absolutely brutal trying to navigate the curb, because the water is so deep. Winter is almost here, that’s even worse. I realize we don’t live in the rich neighborhoods, but we are all mostly IU educated people, we pay taxes. Our neighborhood doesn’t get snowplows for days. We are kind, old beatnik people, we have lived here for decades. If could please look at the drains, install a street light, and salt the streets this winter, we would greatly appreciate it. We love living here. Please and thank you.

The grade in the backyard has been altered (trenches, sloping...) and is now affecting neighboring yard with pooling water/runoff during storms. Have before/after photos.

The drainage system has unbelievable amount of growth and looks very bad. It needs a cleanup and maintenance and trimming of all the bushes and overgrowth. Please help make it better.

Please review the drainage at the east end of E Thornton Dr, near E Arden Dr and High St. During heavy rains, runoff flows over the end of the culdesac, to the east, across 5 back yards, before flowing into street drainage at the east end of 2005 E Arden Dr. A neighbor at 2005 E Arden DR, who has since moved, took it upon themselves to dig a ditch into the yard to channel the flow. This ditch changed the slow moving swampy meadow waters into a high speed rivulet, which is gradually eating its way upstream into our yard at 2001 E Arden Dr. As you walk the drainage path from Thornton, you will see that neighbors have tried to contain the flow using mats and various things. I don't think the development of Thornton drive properly addressed the runoff from that street. We'd rather not have a ditch in our yard, as the value in that area during most of the year is as a walkable lawn. The custom ditch at 2005 has been a nuisance for the current owner. If necessary, I would attempt a french drain solution, but this seems to be a problem resulting from negligent planning of the Thornton development.

Hello--My mother has 2 rental houses on Olive St. (1502 & 1504) that share a water meter. The 1502 S. Olive has the water meter on that property. What would it take to have 1504 S. Olive it's own meter? How much would it cost?

Each time it rains, this low spot under the bridge fills with water making it difficult for cars to pass. Is there something that can be done to improve the drainage here?
