Planning staff would be happy to investigate as previously indicated on duplicate reports. We cannot observe the reported issue except for on private property. If the complainant would like for investigation to occur, you will need to contact the Planning Department to set up a time for staff to come out at 812-349-3423. We will look for your outreach, otherwise the duplicate reports will continue to be closed out as we are not able to escalate the matter as it is not observed.

As per colleague Joy Browns multiple explanations, "Duplicate and invalid report. Please see previous reports for explanations of Planning staff investigation into complaints of the lighting at the property. Planning staff do not go onto private property without permission, so if you are directly south and adjacent this property, we would not be going onto your private property to take a light trespass reading without your permission. We are taking measurements from the public right-of-way and all our measurements from the public right-of-way showed the lights to be in compliance with the lighting trespass limits set in the City's Outdoor Lighting Standards. Please reach out directly to Planning staff to further discuss this complaint at 812-349-3423 or at [email protected]. Without any further information, these continued reports will continue to be closed out as duplicate and invalid reports as the lighting appears to be compliant with the City's standards. As was discussed with Planning staff on the phone in the past, you can arrange with Planning staff a visit on your property if you would like this to be addressed further, otherwise as previously detailed we cannot take a light measurement on the private property as pictured."
