Project Summary:

This project has been prioritized by the Metropolitan Planning Organization to receive federal funding supporting construction of a multiuse path on North Dunn Street from the Indiana 45 Bypass to East Clover Lane. Local funding for design of this project was prioritized by City Council through a 2022 general obligation bond. This project will initiate with public outreach to inform the conceptual project plan, and then proceed into topographic survey and detailed design.

This project is intended to improve connectivity to multiple destinations including the Matlock Heights Neighborhood, Blue Ridge Neighborhood, and Griffy Lake Nature Preserve. Project goals include improving safety, accessibility, and mobility for all modes of transportation along this important corridor.

At this time no decision has been made regarding installing the path on the west vs east side of the street. Please let us know what factors you think should be considered in making that decision!
