This project will construct improved curb ramps and crosswalks along the E 3rd Street and Atwater Avenue corridors adjacent to the Indiana University campus. Design and construction is federally funded with a local match. This project utilizes funding from the Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP).
Rundell Ernstberger Associates (REA) has been selected as the engineering consultant for this project. Design and right-of-way acquisition (if required) will take place during 2026 and 2027. The project will be bid out for construction in mid-2028. Construction is tentatively planned for 2029. All schedules are subject to change.
