The Street Division provides maintenance and repair for the City of Bloomington's 237 miles of public roads. Our specific function includes a wide range of activities:
- Street paving and resurfacing
- Maintenance repairs to the City's alley network construction and installation of sidewalks, curbs and Americans with Disabilities Act compliant accessible ramps
- Repair and maintenance of lane markings
- Street signs and traffic control devices
- Snow removal operations;
- Street sweeping
- Care and maintenance of trees located in the public right-of-way to safeguard against accidents and help keep our City's trees looking their best.
