Hello! I have a suspected raccoon in my attic that has been taking shelter since before the snowstorm. He can go throughout the whole house and get into the walls, and it has not only been keeping us up at night, but a potential health hazard due to the amount of vents we have open to the attic. My roommates want him out so he does not die in our attic and also cause any sicknesses.
My trash has not been picked up for the past 2 weeks.
Haven’t shoveled sidewalks. People are forced to walk in the street.
The northbound side of N Kinser Pike at the intersection with SR 45 could desperately use a dedicated right turn lane, as traffic often backs through multiple traffic light cycles. I already reached out to INDOT and they said that they don't have any funded projects on their end. BUT they would be willing to work with the city if we wanted to take the initiative. Folks frequently use the shoulder here as a makeshift turn lane but it is full of potholes and not well-suited for this purpose. A dedicated turn lane would greatly help improve throughput during busy times when the light is very short. There is ample room to expand, and it appears that the lots already belong to DOT and the Indiana DNR. Resolution: Thank you for contacting the Indiana Department of Transportation. Our Traffic Investigations Engineer has reported a turn lane would require widening with full-depth pavement and utility relocation. INDOT does not have any funded projects to construct a right turn lane at this location. If the City would like to pursue the addition of a turn lane on Kinser Pk, they can work with INDOT Permits. Its been over a week and they have not cleared their sidewalks. This property is a privately owned Air BnB. They are super stand offish with the neighbors so we don't have a means to contact them. They completely cleared their driveway but haven't touched the sidewalks. Its a corner lot and their no sidewalk on the other side of Fairview. Its forcing people and dogs to walk in the middle of the street.
Our garbage has not been collected in over 2 weeks. I understand the snowstorm complicated services and delayed them but we have had our trash can out front ready to be collected(where it is also very accessible) and nobody has come to collect it. Our trash is overflowing and still with over a foot of snow we have walked our excess bags to dumpsters almost slipping on ice several times because the sidewalks are still not fully salted. Please send a trash truck over here so that we can stop risking ourselves falling and dangerous conditions from trash overflow when it should have been picked up yesterday.
