I am a wheelchair user. Every time it snows deep like it has now the snow plows from the city pile of the snow in front of the curb cuts. I was just downtown trying to get across college on Kirkwood. Could not get it through the snow. Very frustrating every year it snows.
Apparently the diesel - electric buses enter into a "regeneration" cycle under idle to somehow clean out the soot particulates in the diesel exhaust system. Hot exhaust burns out the soot, right? It stinks all to high hel** and fills the cabin with what smells like CO - filled exhaust. I fear being asphixiated while waiting for the warm bus to begin it's route. I open a couple of windows everytime I board. Is this an exhaust leak, or is pumping hot regenerative soot exhaust gases including CO into the cabin, er.. normal? This smells awful and scares me everytime I ride a bus in these conditions. Please provide proof this is not a danger or remedy this nasty smelling problem.
This is the 3rd time I am reporting this problem. This light works intermittantly, but mostly off. The light in on the south side of the street in the middle of E Wyndam Crt. in front of the empty lot.
Park Ridge East Park is very very very dark at night. Feels dangerous to walk Greenway. Can we get one more light even? Thank you.
Comments for Administration and City Council members: please note the Bloomington public response and feelings as executive orders from Braun come down at the federal level - it is against the core values and heart of this community. The future is remote and hybrid with emphasis on flexibility as workers are human not cattle. DEI is important in every capacity, not whatever Braun’s “innovation” plan is - that is a buzzword, not DEI. Please please please continue to actually think in a forward direction with all residents, equity, the environment, and future generations in mind. It seems the state is now going backwards; Bloomington needs to continue progressing in a positive and inclusive way. Residents hope to see a public response and show of action that does NOT align with Braun’s recent takeover. We look forward to continuing to participate in a community that does great work for ALL with workers who happily serve us. For the Mayor's Office: Please consider dropping support for the Twitter/X platform. The owner in an unapologetic Nazi and the city should not be supporting that platform in any capacity. I would also encourage you to discontinue Facebook. The Mayor's office, especially, should be posting information in a more open, accessible format. Consider Bluesky or Mastodon. Thank you.
Our water pressure has been slightly less for about a week or so, is this normal? or is it a local issue? The water functions ok, but seems to be only about 3/4 the usual water pressure.
Water meter cover at the given address is broken and dropped into the service well. Apologies if this is a duplicate. Looks like construction equipment from nearby site may have run over the cover, resulting in the situation.
