The east-west signal at Covenanter and College Mall Rd remains a persistent problem for cyclists. The signal seems to be triggered at best by a motor vehicle presence, meaning a cyclist approaching the intersection with no car nearby has no way to get a green light except by pressing a pedestrian beg button that is not accessible from the road. This is a recurrent problem that keeps getting marked “closed” but without real evidence that the matter has been addressed successfully for east-west transportation at this intersection. See these past comparable complaints: 11/12/2025 #206750 (when the signal was not even responding to a car) 8/5/2025 #204676 6/26/2025 #203711 4/2/2024 #187457
E bound on 3rd, left hand lane going straight, at intersection with Kingston - Traffic light (at least the green) isn't working
Yellow blinking school light not working and hasn't been working for months. Please fix.
Stoplight at Basswood and Bloomfield has red light out
The School Zone flashing light is not working and has not worked for some time
The left turn signal for traffic facing east on Country Club Dr. wishing to turn north onto S. Walnut Street is not working. I sat through three complete rounds of signal changes with two cars in front of me and approx 7-8 behind me and no left turn arrow ever came on. This was on March 12, 2026.
I think the stoplights reset themselves and now it goes through the entire cycle. This is causing significant back ups on country club toward bugs gym.
Trail crossing light is malfunctioning
For a long time the light at Hillside and High St. favored the traffic southbound on High. Cars could sit at the northbound red when there were no cars coming south at all. Still, the southbound light would cycle the arrow before the green for northbound traffic got the green. This was previously reported and the response was that a fix was coming. The fix then came and we had several months of normal light behavior. Recently the light has had a relapse into the old behavior. Once again we sit through reds while there are no cars coming from the north or just no cars in the turn (east) lane. We'd be grateful if it could be fixed again.
