City of Bloomington and By Hand Gallery Present the “2023 Threads of Meaning” Textile Exhibition in Fountain Square Mall Bloomington

The City of Bloomington, in collaboration with By Hand Gallery, presents “Threads of Meaning,” an exhibition of work by Bloomington-based textile artists that are on view at Fountain Square Mall Bloomington until September 17, 2023.

The exhibition features artists Beatrice Atencah, Ary Bird, David Joseff Sloma, Patricia Coleman, Alizah Sage, Nina MontenegroEmily Chase, Ileana Haberman, and Alexis Zabor.

“I am so honored  to be part of a wonderful selection of fiber artists from Bloomington, Indiana in a unique historic building,” said David Joseff Sloma, By Hand Gallery Manager and exhibiting textile artist.

The locations of the show are the following: Fountain Square Bloomington Gallery Wall in the main atrium and the Fountain Gallery Lower-Level Walls and Upper-Level Walls.

The galleries at Fountain Square Bloomington were formed in a public-private partnership between CFC Properties, Cook Group’s real estate development and property management company that manages Fountain Square, and the City of Bloomington to provide additional exhibit spaces for local and national artists to display their work in downtown Bloomington.
