Switchyard Park Concert Series; Juneteenth Celebration; Outdoor Programs; and Monroe Water Treatment Plant Tour –June Events and Programs

Bloomington, Ind. – Bloomington is a vibrant community filled with activity. Each month there are numerous opportunities to enjoy and engage socially and civically. The City will provide monthly updates on what is happening in and within the City, and you will discover that no matter your interests or inclinations, there is something for everyone.

 

EVENTS 

City Golf Tournament

Date: Championship Flights register by June 20; Regular, Women's, and Junior's Divisions register by July 2.

Time: 12 p.m.

Cost: Entry fee for Championship Flights is $25; Regular and Women's Divisions $15; Juniors entry fee is free.

Juneteenth

The City of Bloomington will host a Juneteenth celebration on Saturday, June 17 from 2 to 7 p.m. at Switchyard Park (1601 South Rogers Street). Juneteenth is the annual commemoration of the end of slavery in the United States after the Civil War and a national celebration of freedom. The community-wide, family-friendly gathering will feature free food, games, and music, with Black-owned businesses on-site offering additional products for sale. 

 

Monroe Water Treatment Plant Tour

Please join the City of Bloomington Utilities for a guided tour of the Monroe Water Treatment Plant. Participants meet at the Service Center to shuttle to the plant and learn fun history facts about water in Monroe County.
