Webinar to Offer Information for Business Owners Navigating COVID-19 Relief Programs

Bloomington, Ind. - The City of Bloomington’s Economic Stabilization & Recovery (ES&R) working group invites local small businesses, nonprofits, and media to attend an interactive webinar on COVID-19 funding programs on Friday, April 24, at 10:00 am. 

This virtual information session offers small businesses and nonprofits a single source update on federal and local relief programs, guidance on how to optimize one’s ability to receive funding from the Paycheck Protection Program, City of Bloomington & Monroe County funds, or Economic Injury Disaster Assistance loans, with immediate access to lenders to ask questions and pursue those programs. Information about how to join the webinar follows:

What will be covered:

As the federal government plans another infusion of aid for small businesses, this webinar aims to put local organizations in the best position to access local and federal relief. Items to be covered include:

• Bloomington Rapid Response Fund and Monroe County Food & Beverage COVID-19 Virus Relief funding 

• Federal Small Business Administration (SBA) loans: Paycheck Protection, Economic Injury Disaster Assistance, other SBA programs

• Opportunity to engage directly with local lenders and program administrators

About the Economic Stabilization & Recovery working group:

Convened by Mayor John Hamilton on March 23 to oversee the City’s response to the economic effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the City of Bloomington Economic Stabilization & Recovery Working Group includes local community leaders representing the City’s Department of Economic and Sustainable Development, the Bloomington Economic Development Corporation, CFDI Friendly Bloomington, Dimension Mill, Inc., and the Greater Bloomington Chamber of Commerce. The working group has been developing short-, mid-, and long-term economic recovery plans, initiatives, and resources.
