The corner of Moores Pike and Claris currently has flashing Yellow lights to help pedestrians cross Moores Pike. Drivers view yellow lights as a call to speed up not Stop. I walk there frequently but cars seldom slow or stop Sometimes the cars speed up, either to beat the light or to run over me. Perhaps it would help to change the lights to red which means Stop. Or install a regular stop light. Also, at the Southeast corner of Hillside Dr and College Mall Rd. The crossing light turns on when the vehicles turn right from Sare Rd onto Hillside Dr. This is very dangerous for the pedestrian since the corner is not visible to the cars turning right. This report is for the person that created #192463, in case they are checking on status. What you have reported has been reported before and obviously nothing has been done. The same thing has happened to others and me. I don't know what would constitute negligence on the city's part but... they have dropped the ball on this one. My $.02 is fixing the deep dip and drastically uneven surface at the intersection (that's what took me out) would be the least, installing a reflective post at the corners would be even better, or better yet a railing. Thank you for reporting your friend's experience and I hope they are not gravely injured and are doing okay. With any luck this will be addressed.

There have been many wonderful improvements with the new Hawthorne Greenway, but there's a glaring absence of a decent pedestrian crosswalk from Weatherstone Ave. walking East or West across Woodlawn two new accessible curb cuts were made on the Weatherstone side of that intersection, but then, there's no crossing support for pedestrians to get into the park from there. I think a lot more kids will be taking that path from Weatherstone or from Hawthorne to cut across the park to get into Templeton Elementary School. A painted, raised crosswalk with signage would be ideal. Is that in the plans?

The storm sewer grate at the end of Olive St where it intersects with Hillside Dr is installed so that the holes are parallel to the direction of travel, and thus bicycle wheels can fall into them. Best practices for safe infrastructure should install them facing the other direction.

Thanks for taking this message. The west third bike lane stretch from Franklin at the west to Patterson at the east is filled with hazardous debris and deep gravel, and has been for many months. This has forced dangerous punctures, avoiding hazards by taking more of the safer pavement in the main lanes, thus alarming drivers, and other cyclists using the sidewalk. Please send crews or the machine soon.

Crosswalk sign at 2nd and Rogers is not working. It’s the north/south crosswalk on the west side. I waited through several cycles and it never gave me a walk signal. The East/west one on the south side did seem to be working.

My name is Nick Pejeau, and I'm an IU Health employee representing our Trauma Services Community Outreach program, Stepping On. The program seeks to reduce fall risks for elderly adults. One of our class participants reported concerns for fall hazards due to unearthing and uneven sidewalks in their neighborhood where they walk to the grocery. They did not give me an exact location but said, "The first one is on Kinser Pike, somewhere between N Skyline Dr and W Parrish Rd., I think. The second one, the one with cane for scale, is on W Parrish Rd. between Kinser Pike and Kroger." I've attached the picture they submitted to me. Thank you.
