I quote the city Ordinance 15.040.020 (Abandoned vehicle means): 2) A vehicle left on public property continuously without being moved for three days. The white sedan at 613 S Eastside Drive has not been moved for over 30 days. Plus has a license plate that expired in Nov. 2025. "Neighbors' dispute" or not, does that invalidate the City Ordinance?
After battling with code my apartment building it 25 ft away with the smoking but they only moved it 25 ft away but it's still entering the 50 some windows in the back where they placed it and going in the ventilation system and I've tried contacting the Bloomington Housing Authority about it. I don't know what to do any recommendations I was told that the PHA can help enforce stricter things or even make a designated smoking area that's further than 25 ft away when I reached out to Bloomington Housing Authority I'm not too sure if I spoke with PHA they weren't very helpful I thought about contacting the health department because they can come out and see which way the wind blows and where it's drifting inside but when I looked it up I really didn't see anything to tell them about smoke issues. I recently advocated for my apartment building smoking to be25 ft away they moved it but it's now in the back of the building where there are 50 unit windows and ventilation system and out of contact HUD and I've contacted the PHA and I don't know what to do when it's 25 feet away but that is drifting to the windows and I know that there are people that could establish stricture policies. Help
There is a row of storage units immediately to the south of my apartment at Brandon Ct. There is a space between the units and a fence that is supposed to be maintained by Henderson Court. As you can see by the photo (I can provide more), it appears that unhoused people use it as a place to sleep. The area is strewn with trash, and mattress/foundation, and I would suspect that drug activity is or has occurred in the space. Furthermore, several packages have been stolen off of my stoop by occupants of this space. Clearly, this poses a health and safety hazard. I ask that the City investigate the area and assess fines and other sanctions against Granite, the listed property owners or managers. In addition to clean up and possible environmental remediation, I want the area secured in such a fashion that in the future no unhoused people can reoccupy the space. The Department may also need to contact Henderson Court for erection of a fence that denies access for the length of the fence that serves as the property line between Henderson Court and Brandon Court. I have filed numerous complaints. Neighbors are frustrated with this house. Using a residential neighborhood as a commercial site blocking people’s abilities to park in front of even their own houses due to the people he has coming in working on these vehicles or parking all up and down the street. All hours of the day and night getting deliveries blocking driveways for periods of time while doing pick ups or delivery. Now they’re painting vehicles outside on the street area that’s causing overspray which I’ve already caused an issue on my last car I had. They shouldn’t be spray painting anything outside with all these vehicles out here. The next complaint goes higher up whatever it is this has got to stop. They block roads with doors open all the time working on these vehicles, you can never get through or even go that way sometimes to get out of the neighborhood. It’s ridiculous. We shouldn’t have to go through this we all pay. Our mortgage is just like everyone else please rectify this situation. Neighbors have stated this guy has done this for years and no one has been able to stop him from doing it. It is a issue that needs to be addressed immediately.
There was a small fire 2 days ago started in the grass area of property of Governor Park Apartments and the trailer Court area. Its a smoking area where people go out to smoke. I live near there but not at the apartments. I see people who sit in chairs and use a green tin to put there smoke out and the butts are never put out. There was a guy passed out drunk at the can then later it started fire. The can was smoldering. It does almost every night and it's right in the parking lot of the apartments so I don't know how this is legal because it's near a apartment complex. Fire department comes when called but the fires DONT STOP. The can is not a proper cigarette extinguisher and it's has been an ongoing problem that I'm afraid it's going to start field on fire that goes into my property.

I would like to request that someone visit the site to inspect the designated smoking area and the cigarette disposal containers. Because the apartment complex has established a permanent smoking area immediately outside this non-smoking building, violations are constant and can be observed at any time. The police have responded to this location multiple times due to fires caused by smoking. They informed me that this is a government or HAND (Housing and Neighborhood Development) issue; however, each time I report it, I am referred to a different department. Is it possible for a representative to see this firsthand without me calling the non-emergency line? Additionally, would the Health Department be able to assist, or is there another official who can verify the proximity of this smoking circle to the building? Recurring flooding is affecting yards and driveways in our neighborhood, with water reaching depths up to a few feet during heavy rain events. This occurs several times per year and has resulted in property damage, including several vehicles in the neighborhood. Two culverts carry water beneath the roadway at this location. Based on observed conditions, the culverts appear to be insufficient to handle stormwater during frequent events, creating a backwater effect that causes water to pond in residential areas upstream. Previous inquiries have indicated this may be attributed to the area’s flood zone designation. However, the frequency and severity of flooding suggest this exceeds typical floodplain conditions and may indicate inadequate drainage capacity. Requesting a formal evaluation of the culvert system and overall drainage, including assessment of capacity and consideration of potential improvements.

Ditch behind our condo has been overflowing with trash from Sare Road and possibly Hyde Park Village. Last year we had 2 carp wash over, as well as a hardware cloth screen approximately 2'X4' and buckets of construction waste. This year we have a christmas tree and several 3-4'boards as well as another 1/2 ton of gravel! I am not sure where any of this comes from but it is unsanitary and eroding our yard. My address is 2724 South McCartney Lane. Others may have reported this. The neighbors are concerned.
