There is a car parked in front of 825 that is blocking the driveway and making the driveway inaccessible for homeowners to park in the driveway. This has happened multiple times with this exact car

Numerous vehicles parked daily, always 2 up to 6 or more, on the right side of East Deckard Drive constricting entryway to Eastern Heights off of East 10th/ 45. This entryway is curved and has a deep drainage ditch on the left side, which is directly opposite of these cars. A car exiting has a very fine line of trying to get over to let other entering traffic pass. There are no sidewalks throughout Eastern Heights, thus pedestrians (many children walking to school), bicyclists, etc.,are forced to walk on opposite side of parked vehicles (many of which are never moved for weeks) where there is little room due to drainage ditches, when there is barely one lane to utilize. There is also a sober living home across from these cars that does have a longer driveway for parking. But, despite being told it was highly unlikely cars would be there, they also park on the street behind these cars towards 10th street, so that they can come & go without hindrance in their driveway. It is difficult for large vehicles to enter Eastern Heights safely or residents to safely exit due to lane restriction from the constantly parked vehicles. I personally have had to back up several times a week to let the loaded school bus enter our neighborhood safely. I have spoken with the bus driver and she is very concerned about her issues of entry, especially with winter arriving. By contacting the MCCS transportation they can reach her and supply you with her camcorders. The first house is a group home & she informed me of problems with their large van blocking the entry way, that leaves her sitting on 10th street trying to enter, which then blocks the views for a safe departure by the van, making a gridlock due to heavy, as well as fast, traffic on 10th. When the group home drive is full, cars are parked in front of their property, past the continuously parked cars, to Hector and around the corner on Hector. There is ample room for the group home to establish more parking or at least a turn around for their van to not back out on Deckard, which blocks both lanes of entry leaving the loaded bus sitting on 10th street waiting to enter Eastern Heights. The bus driver seemed particularly worried about that situation, as well as the parked cars. The snow plow drivers, garbage truck drivers could reinforce the problems with all these cars being parked, although I’m sure there is less traffic during their route times. We have no neighborhood covenants about parking on street, but we have NO sidewalks for safety, and this continual parking seems to grow, especially when they have ample area to provide parking, there is no attempt to park over a bit in their yard, all tires are on the pavement. Occasionally is understandable, but daily is unattainable to the rest of the neighborhood. I would like to ask that the city explore the possibility of putting a “no parking” sign from here to the street ( back towards 10th) at the corner of Deckard and Hector, which would only affect 4 homes of which 3 are the offenders. A winding asphalt path runs through the middle of Bryan Park between Woodlawn and Henderson. Originally it was cinder-paved and used primarily by recreational pedestrians and runners. It now serves cyclists, as a connector between the bike-pedestrian lanes on Sheridan and Southdowns on the east and the Allen Street Greenway on the west. I believe it is state law that cyclists yield to pedestrians but on this path many cyclists don't warn pedestrians when they are overtaking nor do they slow down when pedestrians are present. Because of the path's curvy nature; defensive cycling really requires slower speed. Please post notices at the Woidlawn and Henderson ends of the path, alerting cyclists to slow down and be aware of the blind curves.
In the Southeast Park tennis courts: there are yellow jackets living in one of the net support poles. They are in the eastern support pole of the West court. We were there last night and 3 yellow jackets were standing guard on top of the support pole, so we left to use the Bryan Park courts instead.
Bottom of fence on north east corner of the court(s) curls up from the ground significantly creating an intermittent but substantial gap which allows sports equipment: balls etc. to escape the perimeter fence leading to frequent stoppages during games.
Some questions about the white PVC pipe that drains into Sheridan Creek. It is supported by concrete chunks that have moved around over time and, I think, maybe the bank has eroded or pulled away. I have been visiting it for over 10 years and noticing the changes. One thing I first noticed were the bright orange (mulberry?) roots, so carrot orange that at first I thought they had to ne man-made cables. But: now I see earth has been moved around. Doesn't seem to be from flooding. Is it something Parks employees did? And I'm curious what drains into the creek (related to the manhole cover on the other side of the asphalt path. Thanks for your help and for your work maintaining and improving a Park i enjoy so much.
One pickle ball net is too high and the other one is too low. It's the courts furthest from the police station.
