Tonight (Aug 28th) the music at Switchyard is WAY TOO LOUD. I am in my apt at south rockport rd and I cant even hear my television, my dogs keep barking, my son with autism has had a few meltdowns. Usually I hear it slightly. I hear it as if I am their in front of the band tonight. I thought of calling police for a noise complaint is it would work to make them turn it down.

A commercial, medium-duty International refrigerated box truck has been parked long-term on a residential property for several years. The vehicle is a commercial fleet vehicle displaying truck unit number "001" and US DOT registration number "2311710". It is not actively being used for delivery or residential service. Instead, it is being stored long-term in direct view of the neighborhood.Observed Municipal Code & Zoning Violations:Parking on an Unimproved Surface (BMC Section 15.32.025):The commercial truck is parked directly on the residential grass/lawn rather than an approved asphalt or concrete surface.Commercial Vehicle Storage in a Residential District:The vehicle is a large, non-residential commercial fleet truck with a refrigerated cooling unit (reefer). Storing commercial logistics/freight equipment on a residential property violates local zoning boundaries and exceeds permitted home occupation standards.Chronic/Long-Term Abandoned Storage:This vehicle has remained on the property for years, functioning as long-term outdoor industrial storage rather than active residential transport.Requested Action:Please dispatch a Code Enforcement Officer from Housing and Neighborhood Development (HAND) or a Zoning Compliance Officer from the Planning and Transportation Department to inspect the property, document the unimproved surface violation, and issue a formal Notice of Violation to the property owner.(Attaching the provided photo to this complaint for visual evidence.)

Traffic Suggestions

290 S Union ST

Case Date:
9/1/2026

I would like to suggest adding a designated pedestrian crossing at this location. This area is frequently used by students and other pedestrians traveling to and from the IU campus. There are also churches, mosques, and residential areas nearby, which contribute to regular pedestrian activity. Crossing the street at this location can be difficult and unsafe because 3rd Street carries heavy traffic. The situation becomes especially challenging because vehicles coming from S. Rose Avenue are also merging into or crossing the traffic on 3rd Street. With pedestrians trying to cross at the same location, there are several movements happening at once, which can create a potentially dangerous situation. A clearly designated pedestrian crossing, along with appropriate signs, signals, or other pedestrian safety measures, would make this area much safer and more accessible. Given the proximity to the university, residential neighborhoods, and places of worship, I believe improving pedestrian access at this location would benefit both students and the surrounding community.

Traffic Signals

900 E Hillside DR

Case Date:

The intersection of wood lawn and Hillside is dangerous. We live two doors away and here car accidents all the time. I was once T-bone on my bike by someone coping out of Wood law. We desperately need a stop sign or traffic like there.
