AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF THE CITY OF BLOOMINGTON, INDIANA, GENERAL REVENUE ANNUAL APPROPRIATION BONDS, SERIES 2022, TO PROVIDE FUNDS TO FINANCE THE COSTS OF CERTAIN CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS FOR PUBLIC SAFETY FACILITIES, INCLUDING COSTS INCURRED IN CONNECTION WITH AND ON ACCOUNT OF THE ISSUANCE OF THE BONDS, AND ADDRESSING OTHER MATTERS CONNECTED THEREWITH

This ordinance authorizes the City of Bloomington to issue its General Revenue Annual Appropriation Bonds, Series 2022, in one or more series, in the aggregate principal amount not to exceed $29,500,000. The bonds will be issued to finance costs of constructing, renovating, replacing, repairing, improving and/or equipping certain facilities for the City's police and fire department, together with the costs of issuance thereof. Note: At the December 7, 2022 Regular Session, the Council adopted Amendment OJ, which removed language referencing an additional appropriation of the bond proceeds that will be proposed as a separate item of legislation.
