As a standing committee of the Bloomington Common Council created by Resolution 20-01, the Community Affairs Committee is authorized to consider legislation referred to it by the Council and to focus on the outreach and community support functions carried out mainly by, or with staff support from, the Community and Family Resources Department, but also by other citizen boards or commissions. It is also authorized to research and take input on other community affairs and matters that do not otherwise fall within the purview of another standing committee.
