Winslow Woods Park is 39 acres in size. A series of purchases of property that makes up Winslow Woods Park, and the nearby Winslow Sports Complex, began in 1966. Part of the purchase agreement was a promise that natural wooded areas were to be preserved.

  • Features: Playground with poured-in-place rubber surfacing. Drinking fountain (available seasonally), full-size asphalt basketball court with two goals, .74-mile natural dirt surface trail through Winslow Woods west of the parking lot, open play field south of the playground.
  • Community Garden: Home to Willie Streeter Community Garden, 
  • Restrooms: All-gender porta-john located north of the Winslow Woods picnic shelter, approximately 223' from the designated handicap parking. 
  • Parking: Asphalt parking lot with 27 vehicle spaces + 5 designated handicap parking spaces. The lot serves visitors to Winslow Woods Park and Willie Streeter Community Gardens, which are also located in Winslow Woods Park.
  • Bloomington Transit: Bloomington Transit #4 stops at South Highland Avenue & East Short Street, with access to Winslow Woods Park via .25 mile paved sidepath east of South Highland Avenue. Bloomington Transit #4 also stops at the YMCA of Monroe County Southeast, with access to Winslow Woods Park via .20 mile paved sidepath to and across South Highland Avenue.
