Position Description

On site event support to provide excellent customer service to event organizers, vendors, and guests. Position requires candidate to have the ability to:

  • Set up and breakdown event supplies like tables, chairs, audio visual, etc.
  • Secure facility—opening and locking spaces used for the event.
  • Do basic custodial tasks such as periodic trash pickup, restroom sanitation, and cleaning.
  • Enforce facility regulations and procedures.
  • Understand safety regulations and assist with safety procedures.
  • Serve as an information and public relations resource for the Parks and Recreation Department to the public.
  • Follow reporting and documentation needs.
  • Accomplish other duties as assigned relating to the event.

 

Education

High school education or any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.

 

Experience/Special Skills

Ability to work well with people; ability to think quickly and exercise good judgment; must be self-motivated. Some customer service, event support, or custodial experience desired.

 

License/Certification

Successful completion of CPR and first aid certification required. Training available through Parks and Recreation Department if needed.

 

Hours

Hours based upon events. Most shifts are nights and weekends. Generally 14 to 29 hours per week. Potential hours: Weekdays, 5:00-11:00 p.m. and weekends 8:00 a.m.-11:00 p.m.

 

Salary

$16.42-$16.62 per hour
