Nonprofit Alliance Hosts Annual Meet the Media Event on Feb. 12

The Nonprofit Alliance of Monroe County will host its annual Meet the Media event on Wednesday, February 12, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Monroe County Public Library - Downtown. This free event offers nonprofits a unique opportunity to connect directly with local media outlets and sharpen their storytelling skills.

Nonprofit representatives are invited to prepare a 60-second pitch highlighting their mission, a story, an event, or a success related to their organization. During the event, they will present to a panel of local media representatives who will provide feedback, share tips on effective communication, and explain what their outlets look for in local stories.

Following the presentations, attendees will have opportunities for more in-depth questions, conversations, and networking. Participation is limited to 35 nonprofit representatives who must register for the event.

The Nonprofit Alliance of Monroe County is a collaboration between the City of Bloomington, the Community Foundation of Bloomington and Monroe County, the Monroe County Public Library, and United Way of South Central Indiana. Its mission is to strengthen the local nonprofit sector through communication, collaboration, and professional development.

For more details and to register for the event, visit the Monroe County Public Library's website.
