About Risin' Creek Creamery

Risin' Creek Creamery is a Farmstead Goat Cheese Creamery located in Martinsville, IN. It officially began in 2015, however, the seed from which the creamery grew was planted in 1984. That is the year owner, Tim Vanzant, acquired his first Nubian dairy goat. During those 31 years in between, the Risin' Creek Nubian herd grew into one of the finest show herds in the country, winning multiple national show classes and Indiana State Fair Premier Breeder and Exhibitor awards. Now, the herd is still involved in showing as well as contributing the milk that powers the cheese and caramel sauce production.

The farm uses as many sustainable farming procedures as possible, including using compost to supply nutrients for their own hay fields from which most of their hay is produced.

Tim, along with his wife, Sheena and son, Cole, work the farm and creamery together to make this operation a true family affair. Each week you can expect to find a variety of goat cheese products including Chevre, Feta, and Goat Milk Caramel Sauce (Mexican Cajeta).
