About Pie First Bakery

Pie First Bakery was started by Louise and Rick Miracle in 2012 after they realized that really good pie, the kind with a crust as good as the filling, was becoming a lost art. They started offering their baked goods (in their bright pink tent!) at local Farmers' Markets and festivals, and quickly developed a loyal customer following. Using only the finest ingredients such as vanilla from Madagascar and cinnamon from Sumatra, you can expect fruit pies with juicy fillings that aren't overly sweetened, so that the fruit "speaks for itself."

Pie First Bakery offers 9-inch pies (including a real metal pie pan), along with 4-inch tarts. Other customer favorites include jumbo cookies, extra-gooey cinnamon rolls big enough for a small army, authentic English scones, and extra-large muffins.

Pie First Bakery is also pleased to offer a large selection of savory items perfect for munching on while perusing the Market, or taking home for that special brunch or lunch. These include savory 4-inch quiche such as Jarlsberg and sun-dried tomato, Chevre and Chives, and Alsatian potato. Other savory choices include muffins, such as buttermilk and Canadian Bacon, and Spinach and Cheddar, along with scones, including basil and Parmesan, and Cheddar and scallion.

Finally, as a promise to our customers for baked goods produced in the best possible kitchen, Pie First Bakery is a Certified Food Kitchen, registered with both the Owen and Monroe Counties' Boards of Health.
