pothole
Around 8:30pm on May 28, 2026, a group of 4 or 5 kids on electric motorcycles were riding recklessly through Switchyard Park and on the B-Line Trail. These are motorcycles, not bicycles. They are dangerous for everyone else in the park and on the trail. The electric motorcycles take off quickly and travel at high rates of speed. These kids have a complete disregard for the safety of others. Someone is going to get seriously hurt or killed in Bloomington soon as a result of these kids on electric motorcycles. They are cutting across the B-Line Trail and through park facilities, swerving at people on the trail, passing close without announcing themselves or slowing down. People moving at human speed are not expecting a motorcycle traveling at 25+ mph to appear out of nowhere, weaving and doing wheelies. The City needs to send the police to patrol the B-Line and park to make sure innocent people doing things the right way are not seriously injured or killed by these motorcycles being illegally ridden on the trails in town. It is only a matter of time before someone is harmed. The City needs to do more to make it safe.
There is a pothole on East Tapps Turn around the location noted in the map. More broadly, East Tapps Turn has not been resurfaced in over 13 years. Over the past few years, and particularly in 2025, practically all the streets around Tapps Turn have been resurfaced. A few years ago, a paving truck left a single strip of asphalt over a random stretch of road -- as if it was just getting rid of leftover asphalt -- but there are many areas of the street that are crumbling. It's starting to be a little bit of a hazard, having chunks of asphalt in the road, because trucks kick them up when driving around the turn. East Tapps Turn gets an excessive amount of traffic for its size, because many people (including residents, delivery drivers, and service vehicles) use it for ingress to and egress from Hyde Park.
Large pot hole at intersection in front of property. Intersection is S. Nota Dr and E Woodbine Ave right at the stop sign.
For several days, by the dumpster near garage 1, there has been furniture and other garbage not in dumpster. Check all dumpsters in complex as the people here create improperly thrown away trash. Also, for several days in the parking lot on left of building 568, there has been a green ( with some black on it) car with old clothes being stuffed through a front window, and cinderblocks on top holding down a rubber floor mat. Als
The water at the switchyard dog park is still off. The hoses are out, but the water is not pumping out. It's getting hot and is difficult to fill the bucket via the water fountain.
Our trash was not picked up today. It was put out last night as always, and put in exactly the same place as we always put it at the curb. Nothing warranted it not being picked up except it was just probably missed. Please pick up as soon as you can. It is full and I have no room to hold it another week. Thank you. I also would like verification that you received this because I left a voice message and I’m not sure I sent it correctly so I did it twice and I still would like to know that somebody did receive this and my trash does get picked up. Thanks again.
Hello, I believe you all know Billy, who lives on the 600 S block of Washington Street (I’m not sure which one exactly). He has been roaming around my house since the fall, but recently has started to live on my porch. He is owned by someone who is not replying to my messages of concern. He has slept on my porch for 10 days and he appears to have a respiratory infection. The last time I spoke to his owners, they said they were moving, and at this point since they won’t message me back, he’s out in the middle of the night, and appears sick, I fear he has been abandoned. I cannot adopt him, but he would do well with an indoor / outdoor home where someone truly cares for him. What do we do?!
Grass is overgrown, back yard seems to not have been mowed at all this year, and a giant pile of dead yard debris has been sitting in the driveway since sometime last year, partially blocking the sidewalk.
Incessant barking and agressive behavior of dog toward children.
