Dead tree has fallen on the multi use trail about 5 days ago and has been tape off but not clean up. Thus the path is not useable. There are communications line down but no power lines. When will this be cleaned up?
I just moved into my home in April 2026, and I thought that Sherwood Oaks was a safe neighborhood. However, in the past few months I have lived here, I have witnessed several close calls with cars excessively speeding down Allendale, most notably in front of my house, almost hitting pedestrians and bicyclists, including children. I know the neighborhood has rallied together to try to get traffic calming devices installed, such as speed humps, and I understand why that is not favorable. But could the City at least put up speed limit signs along Allendale to remind drivers to slow down? A fawn was recently hit in front of my house due to a car speeding down the road. I would like to report an ongoing noise disturbance involving a neighbor's dog. The dog is repeatedly left outside, where it barks loudly and incessantly for extended periods. This has been a recurring issue, and the barking has continued for several minutes today without interruption. The excessive, frantic barking is extremely disruptive and causes considerable distress and irritation to nearby residents. I would appreciate it if this matter could be investigated and addressed. Despite attempts to discuss this with the neighbor, the issue has continued.

Raccoons in attic. Management called local firm to trap one, but no one has attended to the opening that allowed the raccoon in the building, so now there is another. Please force the management to repair the building. We do not want any more raccoons up there and we do not want any more trapped.

Occupants have no usable primary escape route in an emergency, violating clear-pathway egress standards (International Fire Code Section 1031). Extreme Combustible Fuel Load & Radiant Heat Exposure Risk The exterior and interior exhibit an unusually high density of combustible materials (paper, wood, plastics, and dense trash). Because this structure sits within 5 feet of an adjacent occupied home, this extreme fuel load creates a severe radiant heat exposure risk, accelerating potential fire spread and flashover to nearby structures. First Responder Trap Hazard Blocked doorways, obstructed windows, and heavy fuel loading present an immediate trap hazard for occupants and severely compromise rapid entry and search-and-rescue operations for responding firefighters. Requested Action: Conduct an exterior safety inspection under Indiana Code § 36-8-17 (Fire Prevention) and Indiana Code § 36-7-9 (Unsafe Building Law), and issue an official order to abate the egress and fuel-load hazards.
