Major sidewalk hazard: large cylindrical hole in the middle of the sidewalk, with no signage. I very narrowly missed it with my wheelchair. Not accessible. This is on the east side of S Rogers. I was going to Switchyard park on the sidewalk from "Rogers St & Hillside Dr @ Community Kitchen" route 2S bus stop. The hole is just after the sidewalk splits off with a path towards Switchyard.

Traffic Related Complaints

Hillside Dr

Case Date:

Please do more to control the speed of traffic on Hillside Drive. It's a straight shot between High Street and Henderson, and drivers routinely go 40 miles an hour, including past Templeton school. It is difficult to turn left from Woodlawn onto Hillside going east, and from Highland onto Hillside going west. Visibility isn't great at either intersection -- at Woodlawn because cars pulling into the right turn lane in front of Carlisle block the view to the east, and at Highland because there is not a great sightline to see cars speeding from west to east. This morning, there was an accident with injuries that shut down Hillside at Woodlawn. It was just a matter of time before this happened. The flashing speed signs might be making a small difference, but not enough.
