There is a car parked in front of 825 that is blocking the driveway and making the driveway inaccessible for homeowners to park in the driveway. This has happened multiple times with this exact car
Lot #136, we have witnessed the owner Casera Sims carrying her dog solely by its collar in the air so it’s hanging by its neck when she carries it. The dog is not quite 1 year old but still big enough to hurt its neck. Also she has been leaving the dog tethered for hours unattended when she’s not home and it gets tangled and screams with no one to attend to it. Almost all of the time when it is tethered it doesn’t have food or water or shelter. A couple weeks back she was not home and left it out in a thunderstorm with no shelter. There is a lot of drug activity (meth) at this home and she is on drugs too and has been neglecting the dog and we can’t continue to watch the animal be abused by carrying it in the air by its collar.

Every weekend, students and visitors from nearby Atlas apartments are parking all over the streets of our neighborhood and blocking off access to drive on them by parking on both sides of the street, even where marked with No Parking signs, and nothing is being done about it. The alley that runs parallel to Breckenridge doesn't have parking signage of any sort, and now people are parking on both sides of this already narrow alley. The neighborhood needs to move to permit parking for the people who actually live here, and the residents need help learning what process we need to go through to make that happen.

I just moved into my home in April 2026, and I thought that Sherwood Oaks was a safe neighborhood. However, in the past few months I have lived here, I have witnessed several close calls with cars excessively speeding down Allendale, most notably in front of my house, almost hitting pedestrians and bicyclists, including children. I know the neighborhood has rallied together to try to get traffic calming devices installed, such as speed humps, and I understand why that is not favorable. But could the City at least put up speed limit signs along Allendale to remind drivers to slow down? A fawn was recently hit in front of my house due to a car speeding down the road. I live near Maple and 7th and could hear the party. I asked the neighbors closer what it was like for them. 10/30/2026 This house is rented to 3 unrelated people. There are always 4 cars there at night. This is the 4th disruptive party since Aug 2026. This was the 2nd party that was so big the police were called. Neighbors could not park in their own driveways or get close to their homes. The neighbor to the west of 1120 W 8th St, (1131 W 8th St), had party people open the gate and go in their yard, the kids left his gate open and his dogs got out. Around 11.30 the police showed up. The party shut down around 1 am. I hope they have some consequences. This was a quiet neighborhood before they moved in. This is the ordinance I found for Bloomington. "Quiet Hours • Hours: Quiet hours run from 9:00 PM to 7:00 AM. • Rule: Noise that can be heard outside the immediate premises or property line and disturbs a reasonable person for at least 15 minutes during this time is considered a violation. However, unreasonable or excessive noise can be cited at any time of day. Fines & Penalties Property occupants and party hosts face escalating municipal fines for violations: • 1st Violation: $50 fine • 2nd Violation (within 12 months): $100 fine" Please! Get this ball rolling and get them to stop!
