I live near Maple and 7th and could hear the party.
I asked the neighbors closer what it was like for them.
10/30/2026
This house is rented to 3 unrelated people. There are always 4 cars there at night.
This is the 4th disruptive party since Aug 2026.
This was the 2nd party that was so big the police were called.
Neighbors could not park in their own driveways or get close to their homes.
The neighbor to the west of 1120 W 8th St, (1131 W 8th St), had party people open the gate and go in their yard, the kids left his gate open and his dogs got out.
Around 11.30 the police showed up. The party shut down around 1 am.
I hope they have some consequences. This was a quiet neighborhood before they moved in.
This is the ordinance I found for Bloomington.
"Quiet Hours
• Hours: Quiet hours run from 9:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
• Rule: Noise that can be heard outside the immediate premises or property line and disturbs a reasonable person for at least 15 minutes during this time is considered a violation. However, unreasonable or excessive noise can be cited at any time of day.
Fines & Penalties
Property occupants and party hosts face escalating municipal fines for violations:
• 1st Violation: $50 fine
• 2nd Violation (within 12 months): $100 fine"
Please! Get this ball rolling and get them to stop!

Yeah I would like to discuss who do I talk to about there's a bird bath and overgrowth in the front of the yard in front of 707 west 7th street. Me and my children were walking by today and there's a lot of mosquitoes and insects around that bird bath and it looks like it is also on city property if someone could look into that thank you

Inaccessible Parking

I sent a photo of this via Facebook Messenger to the parking department, and whoever responded to me seemed to think it was a pretty big issue as well. But weeks later it's there still.
I understand that there are reasons for manholes on streets, but to place a handicap spot right next to them is absolutely ridiculous. People who are already challenged with mobility do not want to step out on uneven pavement. Weird metal boxes that our trip hazards with dips in them that make puddles develop during rain is maybe the last place I would put accessible parking. Yes, that is the one area in front of fountain Square Mall that a slight ramp up for those who need it, but these metal boxes defeat the purpose. Even knowing that they're there. I have tripped on them several times. Luckily I haven't fallen and hurt myself. But somebody else might.

There's another large piece of equipment parked behind their house in the old alley. It looks like a big fire hazzard
Accessibility Problem

7th St has alternate street side parking. With the recent snowfall, cars on the parked side were boxed in, and snow on the no parking side was pushed onto previously cleared sidewalk, according to my renter. That mean it is full of ice clumps, making it impossible for she or me to remove. Can the city actually remove some of the snow for us - we know the first effort was to clear streets, but it impossible lift for a senior to clear twice the height of packed road snow on the sidewalk.
