Leak at water meter in front yard
Leak at water meter in front yard
Correction of Case #168391: that loose water meter is on Fess just north of SECOND St. NOT 4th St.
I think my water meter is switched with my neighbors. Both water meters are in the same hole. After verifying that neither water meter was reading water usage, I turned on a faucet in my house. The water meter that was moving when I had my water running was not the meter listed on my bill.
We have paid our water fee,but our house still do not have water
Newly installed water line was turned on and it is leaking profusely directly from the meter. Shut the water off at street to stop leaking until it can be fixed. The service address is: 7382 S Whippoorwill Ln. Bloomington, IN 47401 Meter location is at the corner of Whippoorwill and Shields Ridge directly behind the row of mailboxes.
I would like to thank the city of Bloomington for their professional assistance in helping me avoid a significant problem at my home during the recent snap of epic cold weather. It all began with frozen water pipes when I failed to keep a small stream of water running in my city townhouse; there was no excuse on my part for the mistake. To make matters worse, I needed to catch a flight out of town later that day. This is where the city came to the rescue. I quickly and easily found the city utility web site and created a work ticket from the easy to follow instructions. Literally within minutes, a highly trained and cordial city employee called me and walked me through the steps I needed to take to reduce any potential damage to my water pipes. Only minutes later, a two person team arrived and worked in zero degree weather and quickly turned off the water at the meter. They went so far as to reassure me that they would be back soon after I got back to town and to just give them a call. Despite the near zero temperature, they never once complained about the outdoor working conditions. I was impressed. When I got back to town, I created another work ticket, and the customer service process repeated itself, leading to a perfect resolution to the problem. I was very impressed with the entire process - a total Rock Star performance from everyone on the city team. Craig Medlyn Bloomington
Dear Bloomington water department., Last week my pipes froze your team came to my home promptly and turned off the water right after calling for an emergency shut off at the meter. I am back to town and would like to have your team come back to my home and turn the water back on at the meter. Please let me know if this can happen this afternoon, I would like to be at the house when the water is turned back on so that I can deal with any water issues if I have a broken pipe. Thank you! I live at 309 E. 7th street and have no water. I need someone to come and check it out and have someone turn off the water main in front of the house, it is under a steel plate on 7th street. Thanks! Craig Medlyn 410 598 7547
I covered it as best as I could. I fell through it. Injured myself. Don’t want a child to fall through.
I cannot find a leak, no fixtures are running and most recent bill was $500+. Could it be an error? 1301 S. Walnut St James Gronquist 812 219 0135
