I'm guessing that you have read the news. The courts have now confirmed your placation of the COVID-19 vaccination is now classified as a biological weapon to include what was found to be inducing forms of AIDS like symptomatology and a stop and think the town yelled nazi farmers market. To Administration AND Council members: Have seen lately that many of our reports that require BPD attention are not receiving response or being updated by them. I am not sure why they continue to be involved in this reporting system (which is quite helpful to constituents and visitors alike) if they refuse to respond to anything. This is frustrating as a taxpayer and resident to see and deserves response and further discussion. Why would other departments close these reports out when BPD still needs to address their portion (I.e illegal activity)? If BPD won’t respond to serious complaints about ongoing issues in uReport, then a statement about that needs to be made.
Trash collection for these businesses occurred at approximately 3:00 a.m. today, October 19th, 2026. For nearly an hour there was beeping, machine sounds, and intermittent loud crashes of dumpster hitting the ground and trash Landing in the machine. It was impossible to sleep. This needs to be sorted out with trash collection and in compliance with any noise ordinances. In the meantime, I will definitely not stay in Bloomington next time I need to be in the city. I'm sure others feel the same way. I hope a change can be made for the sake of future guests of Spark By Hilton. Sincerely, Chris Wilson
Sick and tired of having to tell the same bums to move out of parking spots every morning at City Hall!! Filled with trash and people sleeping everywhere. Do SOMETHING!!!
What can the city do to reduce or stop all of the extremely loud trucks and cars especially the ones that sound like gunshots and the ones you can hear over a mile away mufflers?
I am writing to report the severe noise disruptions from the IU Stadium that continued until nearly 2:00 AM. Even with our doors and windows completely shut and locked, the heavy, thumping bass and stadium drums were loud enough to vibrate homes across a 2-mile radius from the stadium. When residents call to report this, the response from city channels is a dismissive, "Well, you know there's a football game tonight." This classic town versus gown attitude suggests that year-round residents should just accept this disruption as the new normal.While I understand the economic value of football to our local commerce, the blame for this issue lies with the late-night television scheduling and a major shift in stadium audio technology. These high-powered subwoofer systems did not exist when many permanent residents bought their homes, started families, or moved to Bloomington. This is not the standard college town noise of the past; it is a new level of low-frequency disruption deep into the night that penetrates right through our walls.There is a clear double standard here. Local workers, parents, and neighbors who deal with sleep deprivation or stadium-induced migraines do not get a pass from their employers the next morning just because a television network wanted a primetime slot. I want to ask how powerless the city truly is in this situation. Is there still respect for the neighbors who keep Bloomington running year-round but have no affiliation with the university? I urge the city administration to enforce our local noise protections and work with the university to scale back the late-night bass.
Same issues as previous complaints in 214205 and 214018. Bline has become out of control at all hours, but especially at night. The issues at City Hall have just moved 50yds south along Bline as in public camping, open drug use, alcohol use vandalism, constant littering, defecating on sidewalks, against buildings, creating a votile, unsanitary environment, harassment of people using Bline etc. While not sure the answer this is completely unacceptable. The security drives by and does nothing. This needs attention as Bline is becoming out of control and this area sadly is the new spot where problems are the same as previously mentioned City Hall. Same cast of characters and would be nice if something could be done. Not the Bloomington anyone wants especially those of us who live downtown and businesses downtown or users of the Bline…..
What exactly is the plan for the homeless encampments that persist around City Hall? It’s been a solid month of people living in this area. Increased trash, destroying landscaping, open drug use, and safety concerns. Is this your vision for downtown? Thank you.
At intersection of 6th and n college ave, planter filled in with concrete. What is this? Does council and OOTM know about this? This is so unsightly and not in the spirit of our downtown. This needs rectified.
