Hi, apologies if this isn’t the correct place for this, but I need to express my concern. Over the last year or so, I’ve taken more of an interest in City Council meetings and have been watching them on CATS when I can. I’ve noticed an odd…phenomenon(?). From what I’ve observed, council members more or less attack (sorry for lack of better term) city-hired consultants when they’re presented with information that they don’t agree with. Tonight’s community survey results being the latest example. It almost seemed like multiple members of council were suggesting that a firm be hired based on their ability to provide the data they preferred, rather than proven surveying methods. Again, this may just be me, but the aggressive questioning and more or less insulting of the “expert” was very off-putting. It happened with Hopewell presentations, too. Why does council feel the need to attack and then soap box? Everything feels knee-jerk and emotion based. I just wish there was more level-headed, unbiased conversation in these meetings. Like, these are the people making decisions for their voters but so many of their speeches are about them personally and may mention constituents, but in a very flippant way (if that makes sense). Anyway, it’s just concerning to me. These people are supposed to be representatives of the residents of Bloomington and therefore Bloomington itself, yet do not hesitate to make offensive comments to people hired to ultimately help the city become better. At what point does Bloomington just get the reputation of no one wanting to work with/for us because council is more or less abusive if they aren’t given information/data they agree with? Sorry if this just comes off as a rant—I truly hope it finds its way to some welcoming ears and eyes. And maybe, just maybe, inspires some change. I will use my singular vote each election cycle and hope for the best, in the meantime.

Unhoused individual living in white truck located in corner of parklot next to Dialysis business. Beware: She has a large dog with her. Truck also loaded up with recent dumpster diving. Been there a week now.

There is a "tent" structure in the front yard of this property. The legal owner is deceased and her adult children occupy this house without paying taxes. The homeless people who congregate here do not have access to a bathroom or sewage system. The property is littered with clothing and trash. This property has been under an abatement, which I believe ended when the property was sold recently at the Treasurer's tax sale. This property continues to be an eyesore and a health concern from feces & urine (from lack of restroom access), as well as rodent & insect investations. I have also seen needles from drug use scattered on the road in the past.

Subject: Formal Complaint Regarding Conduct at Recent Bloomington Transit Board Meeting To: Office of the Mayor, City of Bloomington, Indiana I am writing this formal complaint through the UReport system to express deep concern regarding the lack of professionalism and the inappropriate conduct displayed at the recent Bloomington Transit Board of Directors meeting. While the Board is entitled to make its own decisions regarding management and leadership, the way this specific meeting was handled was a disservice to the public. In particular, I am specifically addressing the statements made by Board Member Don Griffin. During the proceedings, Mr. Griffin made disparaging remarks regarding City Public Works, specifically questioning why there would be a “maintenance man here.” This comment was elitist, disrespectful, and entirely inappropriate for a public meeting. All departments in this city contribute to our community’s success, and for a board member to publicly belittle the presence of a maintenance professional is unacceptable. The atmosphere of the meeting was unprofessional and did not reflect the values of the City of Bloomington. While I respect the fact that a decision was reached by the Board and I am not here to dispute that outcome, I believe the manner in which it was handled was wrong. The public deserves a board that conducts itself with dignity and shows respect for all classifications of residents and workers. I also wish to acknowledge, as a member of the community, my personal belief that RATP Dev and Mr. John Connell made meaningful positive contributions to Bloomington and to Bloomington Transit. Regardless of the Board’s decision, I believe their work and service to the community deserve to be recognized and treated with respect. I am submitting this as a public comment to ensure that the Mayor’s office is aware of how these board members are representing our city. I hope that the administration will address this conduct and ensure that future meetings are conducted with the respect and professionalism that our community deserves. The City official meeting calendar listed a CIB meeting on 7/15/2026 as "canceled" - this is not the same meeting as the convention center CIB. Please remove OLD meeting titled CIB from calendar. Board hasn't listed documents since 2023.

Please don’t abandon Bluesky! You never really gave it a chance. Perhaps consider ditching one of the other predatory platforms like Tik Tok or Instagram. I’m sure it’s a lot of work to run so many social accounts, but would love to see support for the one that is more open and accessible. Thank you.

What is the City’s official records retention policy? How long are various types of records retained and how much server/cloud space are citizens paying for to retain this information? Thank you for your time and help regarding this information!
