Trash collection for these businesses occurred at approximately 3:00 a.m. today, October 19th, 2026. For nearly an hour there was beeping, machine sounds, and intermittent loud crashes of dumpster hitting the ground and trash Landing in the machine. It was impossible to sleep. This needs to be sorted out with trash collection and in compliance with any noise ordinances. In the meantime, I will definitely not stay in Bloomington next time I need to be in the city. I'm sure others feel the same way. I hope a change can be made for the sake of future guests of Spark By Hilton. Sincerely, Chris Wilson

Terrible smell in bathroom and along entire street. Multiple other residents making the same complaint. My mother has owned this house for 40 years and says the city needs to flush the line in order to control the smell!

Tons of old trash rotting in their yard. What a dump this place is. Hope they get hit with many fines because it will attract vermin and unwanted pests. There are mountains of trash and it’s disgusting.

There is a very strong sewer smell down W Gourley pike. The smell has been a common nuisance for several years and has only become worse. The smell is now traveling into the house and at times is so strong it actually makes it hard to breathe. It is not only my residence but several other neighbors are having the exact same issue. I know that this has been reported before over the course of several years but something needs to be done. Not only is it bad for our health (can cause headaches, nausea, breathing difficulties, severe cases can cause seizures, as well as the trapped gasses can become an asphyxiant or become a fire hazard.It can also lead to back ups that end up damaging our own residential plumbing pipes. It would be greatly appreciated if the city could come flush the sewer lines over here. Thank you

I am a maintenance tech with JDW Services, we are contracted to take care of the property at this location. There are 2 Bird/Lyft electric bicycles abandoned and they are blocking the sidewalk. These need to be picked up immediately. They are in front of the H&R Block office of the Kinser Crossing Plaza.

I am requesting the repair of the burned-out streetlight at 314 West 4th Street, which is in front of the Kirkwood building near the B-Line Trail. The dark empty WonderLab on the left, the alley, the dark empty electrical company parking in front, and the dark empty financial assistant building parking on the right are all empty at night, creating a lack of visibility on a street used sporadically by residents walking their dogs. Homeless individuals sneak into the front lawn under the unlit landscape balcony area; while we are compassionate toward them, they are not residents and their intentions are unknown. These issues have skyrocketed in past years during cold weather when the Salvation Army is full, as individuals attempt break-ins to get arrested and have a warm night in jail. The front lobby glass window of the electrical company was also broken at night last year. The photograph shows the street is dark even with the apartment lights on, but becomes very dark when those lights turn off.

A truck with a trailer filled with trash has been left on the private lane outside my home. The trailer plates are expired by 11 years and it has been here for over 48 hours with no sign of anyone using it. I may know who it belongs to and have attempted to contact them and they have been unresponsive. It is impeding my access to my driveway and taking up about 40' of parking that myself and other residents of my block use.
