When the street light was installed a few weeks ago, the company working for Bloomington had to come back and cut into the boulevard and the street. They patch the street but left the hole in the boulevard. I don't know if they're done: if they are they should come back and fill in the hole. If not they should come back and rope it off. The hole appears to go under to street. There are residents walking and could step into the hole and get hurt, possibly sprain and ankle or fall. Please note this corner is also a pick site for students riding the bus.

I previously reported this concern a few weeks ago, but the problem has reappeared due to the continued accumulation of leaves. The situation seems to have worsened following Bloomington's policy change to no longer collect unbagged leaves. As a result, many residents are no longer raking, and the town has become noticeably untidy. These clogged drains pose a significant risk of flooding when it rains, creating potential hazards for our community. I kindly ask for prompt attention to clear these drains and consider ways to address the broader issue of leaf accumulation to maintain the town’s cleanliness and prevent future drainage problems. Early this morning (December 6), while cleaning up trash that had blown into my yard, I noticed excessive garbage left in their backyard. The bags are torn open, and the mess has begun attracting animals; just last week, while I was traveling, several neighbors reported seeing a coyote in the area. This property, which I believe is a rental, has been a recurring source of disruption in our neighborhood. In addition to improper waste disposal, previous incidents have included: • Smoking cannabis openly in the backyard. • Loud parties continuing until 4:00 a.m. • Unauthorized backyard fires without proper safety measures like a firepit. • Failure to maintain the property, such as leaving fallen leaves uncollected. I kindly request the town to investigate these concerns and take appropriate action to address the situation, ensuring the safety and well-being of our community. Concern Regarding Unusual Activity and Property Conditions Next to My Business Dear City Official, Good Morning, I am reaching out to express my concern about some recent developments at the property located next to my business at 811 N Walnut St. Since new residents moved in, there has been a noticeable increase in unusual activity that is negatively impacting the appearance and environment around my business. Specifically, the residents have been leaving trash overflowing into the alley, some of which is spilling over onto my property. This not only creates a messy and unsanitary environment but also makes a poor impression on my clients as they arrive at my business. Additionally, there are two cars at the property: one that does not appear to be running and another that is frequently being worked on. There are also cars frequently pulling up in the alley, where individuals from the house briefly interact with the vehicles before returning inside. The overall condition of the property and the ongoing activity is concerning, and I would appreciate your assistance in addressing this issue. As a business owner, it is important to me that the surrounding environment reflects positively on the area, and I believe this situation is detracting from that. Sign near church lane points to trailblazer challenge on OuterSpatial but only thing under challenges is about fishing We believe the sign mentioned is located where the Clear Creek Trail turns into the Limestone Greenway. The Trailblazer Challenge yard sign belongs to Monroe County Parks and Recreation, who also use the OuterSpatial mobile app. Monroe County Parks has not updated their app challenges in a while. Nat Resources Coordinator Rebecca Swift contacted Monroe County Parks Assistant Director John Robertson so he is aware outdated yard signs are still out on their trails.
