There is a growing campsite on the north side of Wylie, not far from the intersection of S. Walnut, that is effectively making it impossible for some individuals with special needs to use the sidewalk there. This is not in a secluded area, but instead directly by a home in a residential area. This is a mixed issue. Not only is this campsite impeding foot travel, it is also against Bloomington policy by being an overnight campsite on public property.

Dear City Hall, I am writing to bring to your attention an issue I have noticed on the north side of 3rd Street, between Grant Street and Dunn Street, next to the public parking lot. The sidewalk in this area has become hazardous due to the roots of a large tree causing the paving stones to rise, creating a tripping hazard for pedestrians. This is particularly concerning because the bike lane on 3rd Street, heading east to west, ends at Dunn Street, forcing cyclists and scooter riders onto the sidewalk. Many cyclists and scooter riders have tripped over the uneven pavement here. Additionally, the sidewalk at the northwest corner of Dunn Street and 3rd Street has multiple areas of damage. These issues pose a significant risk to public safety, and I kindly request that the necessary repairs be carried out as soon as possible. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Is the City no longer sending neighborhood permit renewal applications by mail or email? They will expire soon and when i went to the appropriate web page it looks like that has been operational since July 17, i.e., roughly a month before the old permits expire. That's plenty of time, but i would have appreciated a reminder. Thanks for taking this question, and perhaps referring it to the appropriate person.

There is a surveillance camera at the construction property on Grimes and Henderson. Thought it was a street light at first but then realized it was a surveillance camera, feel that it is against public privacy, especially since it is located at a construction site with private contractors.
