I called CBU two weeks ago because the water in our refilled hot tub was yellow. We fixed it with pool bleach, but it was back yesterday. A newly refilled tub was this same color. I’d really like to get our water cleaned up asap! Thanks.
In the Southeast Park tennis courts: there are yellow jackets living in one of the net support poles. They are in the eastern support pole of the West court. We were there last night and 3 yellow jackets were standing guard on top of the support pole, so we left to use the Bryan Park courts instead.
Brown water. Toilets, sinks, tub. Run for several minutes and all comes out a medium brown color. Hot or cold water. Several days in a row now.
Swamp water smells coming from water taps in kitchen and shower. It has been like this for weeks.
Good evening. There has been a notable increase in the use of electric bikes at Olcott Park since this summer. Young people (including some children) are riding their electric bikes on the park pathways, grass, and streets. They are scaring pedestrians and their pets. They are going at high speeds (20 mph plus), doing wheelies, and driving while looking at their cell phones. It would be helpful to increase patrols and/or provide guidance to residents explaining how and where these bikes can be used. Given children are involved, safety is a primary concern. Truck in the intersection. I know you guys tend to ignore illegally parked vehicles when someone's getting paid to park there, but this one has been there for hours and doesn't appear to be connected to a job being done.
Sidewalk and stairs coming up the hill from the goat farm on the South side of Winslow road is frequently overgrown and hard to walk on. The brush between the street and sidewalk needs to be extensively cleaned out and frequently gets like this. Could you please clean it up and figure out a long term fix going forward? This is a critical walkway to the park and school for multiple neighborhoods. Thanks!
