The grate on this tree is out of place and presents a tripping hazard as it is no longer flush with the sidewalk. I tried to push it back into place and couldn’t budge it. Please see it is readjusted.
Tree hanging too low over sidewalk
The Sycamore Tree in the easement at the end of our drive is showing signs of possible insect damage and poor health. This is a big tree that could damage things if it or any part falls down. It would be great if the Bloomington City Forester could take a look at it.
Trees and plants encroaching on sidewalk, on both sides of the railroad bridge
I live on a cul-de-sac in Hyde Park (Taylor Court). Along the south side of the cul-de-sac, there are 3 trees in bad condition. These are in the right-of-way, right by the street. The worst one is the one located between the properties 3708 and 3710 (ours). It has many dead branches and if it would fall in a storm in would cause serious damage. I have noticed that tree work has been scheduled in adjacent streets. Please include these 3 hazardous trees (or at the very least, the one between our properties, right by the driveway (closest in attached picture)) in this removal work. Thank you.

Maple tree next to a house with lots of rot at the base of tree and a tight codominant union. Should be assessed for safety.
Please trim back plants so wheelchair can use transit center sidewalk without brushing the plants
Old leaning tree over the sidewalk and a few older trees with cracking limbs and branches these are on a city parcel and have been reported before after a large limb fell and broke other limbs on the trees. There is also a large tree along the street at 1003 w Cottage Grove that has dead branches on top of the tree. Along the curbs of w Cottage Grove the weeds are growing and will block the drains, there are leaves and black walnuts and gravel too.
