Every time that I have used the women's restroom by the baseball fields that are used for soccer, there has been no soap in the dispenser. I generally only use the facility right after it has been unlocked, so I'm sure it's not that the soccer and baseball players have used it all. We would all like to have clean bathrooms, but it's hard to get people to treat the facility with respect when there are recurring basic problems like this.
The field lights at Olcott Park have been on 24/7 for the past four days.
No toilet paper in the mens bathroom at the southern baseball fields.
I’m writing to express concern about the current condition of the Twin Lakes Recreation Center. As a member for several years who regularly participates in several of the free classes offered, I’ve seen the facility over time and feel it’s important to share these concerns. While the Center has great potential, several ongoing issues are significantly impacting the overall experience. First, the lack of music in the workout areas makes the environment feel uninviting and low-energy. Music is a basic expectation in most fitness spaces and plays an important role in motivation. Additionally, much of the equipment appears outdated and in need of replacement or maintenance. This not only affects usability but can also raise safety concerns. Along those same lines, the furniture throughout the facility is worn and visibly old, which contributes to an overall impression that the space is not being adequately maintained. There are also operational issues that need attention. Broken clocks throughout the facility make it difficult for folks to manage their time effectively during workouts or classes. On top of that, the limited class availability does not meet the community's needs, especially for those who rely on structured fitness options. It would be nice to have multiple time slots for the HIIT and Bootcamp classes! Taken together, these issues create an experience that falls short of what a community recreation facility should provide. I hope these concerns are taken seriously and that improvements can be made to better serve the community. Thank you.
One pickle ball net is too high and the other one is too low. It's the courts furthest from the police station.
