Time to respond to city complaint
- Case Date:
- 10/28/2026
I recently helped a friend with competency issues respond to a notice of violation from the city. The date the complaint was opened was 10/16; the letter was postmarked 10/19; she received it on 10/21. She had seven days from the notice of violation to respond, or until 10/23. That’s a very tight window. I was able to help her respond in time but please consider being a bit more generous with your deadlines, keeping in mind how slow mail delivery is. Thank you.

So this is AT&T's answer to open junction boxes? I am far from impressed.

I am writing to report a serious safety hazard at the intersection of 2nd and Patterson, where drivers turning right from 2nd onto Patterson desperately need vertical "Right Turn Only" and "Straight Only" signs. The current pavement markings are faded and completely insufficient, causing drivers to mistake the turn lane for a straight lane daily. I drive this route every day and witness near-misses multiple times a day including this past Monday when I was nearly hit on my commute home from work. Because there is no clear signage, drivers realize they are in the wrong lane too late and end up racing to cut people off or hitting the curb and jerking into traffic. This intersection is a major accident waiting to happen, and the city urgently needs to install clear overhead or roadside signs and repaint the road markings before someone is seriously injured.
