Sidewalk along Landmark has no curb ramp on one end for wheelchairs and power chairs to get on and off. And on the other end which was just redone really has no curb ramp either. You might be able to drive an RC car on it that how narrow the flat spot is. You cant drive a chair up on it because its not flat. People in wheelchairs and Powerchairs are avoiding this and going the wrong way down the street towards 3rd in a blind curve. Its only a matter of time before a car rounds that blind curve to find a wheel chair user in the lane also heading towards them. We just had a girl stuck out there today trying to get on the sidewalk but couldn't. Somebody is gonna get hit. Please let us know how we can help you help this matter. Best Wishes, Kevin. This curb and drain is improperly placed. In order to turn right out of Bittner Woods, you have to drive into the other lane of traffic (headed to the Sare rd load) to avoid running into the land. You’ll see how dug out it is that many people try to avoid driving into the other lane of traffic but then bottom out. This past Wednesday morning I also saw the Bloomington Trash truck exiting in the neighborhood in the entrance lane, I assume to avoid the same issue. We would appreciate if the curb and drain could be reworked to allow a safer exit from the neighborhood. Thank you!

Section of the sidewalk on the east side of High St. is consistently underwater. Once the standing water drains, a thick coat of slippery mud is left. The specific location is just north of the hill heading south on the sidewalk. Thanks! John

We’ve had large trucks run over our curbs repeatedly and the neighbors have also had issues with trucks going on their yard and damaging their property. We were told poles or other barriers couldn’t be put in place ironically until there is an accident first. But I am writing to request that a no large vehicles over a certain size or with carriers attached be allowed to turn there. The attached photo is the specific truck as it ran the curb from EMI

There is a tree/shrub along the sidewalk growing low foliage that is blocking the line of site when you are turning left onto 2nd Street from Lincoln Street.

Catherine Pierce (goes by Cathy) called in to complain about her neighbors parking in front of her ADA accessible ramp that is in front of her home (on the Fairview Side). The neighboring area has the Rock Climbing facility and they are often blocking her ramp and she cannot get out. I reported this last week for the first time. (Case #200875) I took this new photo this morning, which shows clearly the abundance of water issuing from this drain. I am confident that this is not simply runoff. I dealt with a similar complaint about one month ago lodged against a property I help manage for Chickering Rentals at 620 N College. Turns out, the water was coming from a sink AND a shower inside that house that was connected to a sump pump, and then connect to a downspout extension drain that expelled on the sidewalk. (I identified the issue and the company remedied it the same day it was reported to us.) It appears that the same thing may be happening at 609 S Fess. There is no explanation as to why so much water would be issuing from a downspout drain at 9am this morning when the temps are less than 10, far below freezing. But you can see in the picture the amount of snow the water has covered and had not yet frozen. I’m guessing if you go out now, it may be frozen. It’s only after it has recently been pumping and expelling that it is still liquid. The only explanation from what I can tell is it’s coming from inside the property. Either 605 s fess or 609 s fess. I’m guessing that there is a sink or shower inside the house, connected to a sump pump drain, connected to this drain on the sidewalk. Thanks for your help and attention to this.

I am the maintenance manager for the The Quarters here at 1521 Isaac Dr. When you are on the property, specifically on Westplex Ave, starting at west 3rd street and spanning all the way to W Milieu Dr, there is an abandoned construction project in the easement that has open holes in the earth that are dangerous to the public and is at this point damage to the grounds and has been an eyesore to the property for months. My concern is primarily safety, as anybody that inadvertently steps into these openings will no doubt suffer injury, but also the ongoing, unfinished work that some contractor was permitted to start and as of yet not returned to complete.
