A large, tall tree that is about 20 feet due north of my property appears to be dead. The tree resides in Winslow Park If it falls it could likely hit my house. Would you please check the health of this tree and proceed as needed. Thanks.
There's a clump of poison ivy growing by the curb in the parking lot by the southern pickleball court.
Some questions about the white PVC pipe that drains into Sheridan Creek. It is supported by concrete chunks that have moved around over time and, I think, maybe the bank has eroded or pulled away. I have been visiting it for over 10 years and noticing the changes. One thing I first noticed were the bright orange (mulberry?) roots, so carrot orange that at first I thought they had to ne man-made cables. But: now I see earth has been moved around. Doesn't seem to be from flooding. Is it something Parks employees did? And I'm curious what drains into the creek (related to the manhole cover on the other side of the asphalt path. Thanks for your help and for your work maintaining and improving a Park i enjoy so much.
The rainbow gate at the Bryan park playground meant for 2-5 year olds has a piece of rebar to “lock” the gate. It is curved at the top. Two different children were poked directly in the eye with the end of the rebar where it is curved in a matter of just 10 minutes. It could be good to remove it and perhaps replace it with something less likely to hurt the kids at the park.
Bottom of fence on north east corner of the court(s) curls up from the ground significantly creating an intermittent but substantial gap which allows sports equipment: balls etc. to escape the perimeter fence leading to frequent stoppages during games.
Hello! My kid and I frequent RCA playground often and it’s one of our favorite places in town. Especially because it’s walking distance to Summit Elementary. As my kids gotten older we re now playing over at the basketball court at RCA. One recurring problem there is that there is no back fence behind the back side of the basket ball court. Balls roll down the hill and into the woods if you don’t catch them or miss the backboard. It seems to be a big deterrent for why people don’t play much basketball there. The pickle ball courts have a nice tall fenced in area for their section. Extending the tall chainlink fence for the back side of the court would tremendously improve the basketball court section. We love that the hoops are low for the little kids and would love to see it being used more. We’ve lost a few balls to the woods and every time I recover ours I find a few others too. Thank you.

A winding asphalt path runs through the middle of Bryan Park between Woodlawn and Henderson. Originally it was cinder-paved and used primarily by recreational pedestrians and runners. It now serves cyclists, as a connector between the bike-pedestrian lanes on Sheridan and Southdowns on the east and the Allen Street Greenway on the west. I believe it is state law that cyclists yield to pedestrians but on this path many cyclists don't warn pedestrians when they are overtaking nor do they slow down when pedestrians are present. Because of the path's curvy nature; defensive cycling really requires slower speed. Please post notices at the Woidlawn and Henderson ends of the path, alerting cyclists to slow down and be aware of the blind curves.
