First, thanks for weed removal along Dodds, from Morton to Rogers. This problem is the condition of the Fagan Stone property. It has some wild flowers but is overgrown with weeds, shrubs, small trees, some several feet tall. Never cared for or mowed, it gives the neighborhood a trashy look.

I am writing to report a severe municipal code violation involving excessive environmental growth and hidden accumulation of trash/debris on W. Rappel Ave.The overgrowth along this street has become unmanageable, encroaching upon the roadway and completely taking up roughly one-quarter (25%) of the usable street width. Hidden beneath this thick overgrowth is a substantial accumulation of trash and debris.Because W. Rappel Ave is narrow, this combination creates an immediate and severe public safety hazard:Vehicle Accident Risk: The severe reduction in roadway width forces oncoming vehicles into the center of the street, drastically increasing the risk of head-on collisions.Blind Spots & Physical Damage: Drivers must actively swerve to avoid the overgrowth, or risk vehicle damage from hidden debris and heavy branches.Pedestrian & Environmental Hazard: The hidden trash accumulation acts as a breeding ground for pests and presents a sanitation concern directly adjacent to active commercial businesses.The private developer who retains ownership of this roadway parcel has been explicitly contacted and requested to clear the hazards, but they have refused to comply or take action.As a property and business owner paying City of Bloomington property taxes, I am formally requesting that the Housing and Neighborhood Development (HAND) Department dispatch a Compliance Officer to inspect this parcel, issue a formal Notice of Violation to the deed-holding developer, and enforce the necessary clearing and cleanup of this right-of-way.

At 1808 south Rogers the front and back yard is totally overgrown. It has weeds several feet tall.

There is a rental home on N. Fess (maybe 404?), that has several Tree of Heaven saplings on the property. My guess is the owner just cut or mowed the plant down which has lead to significant resprouting. Given the invasive nature of the tress, my hope is that HAND can educate the land owner on the many available programs in Bloomington to properly assist with removal.

My neighbors weeds are once again growing into and over my fence and is causing an issue for my mowing person who needs to mow along the backside of my fence this week. This was an issue last year and could only be resolved by contacting the city of Bloomington also the same neighbor has been burning trash and their backyard, causing me breathing issues. The trash smells when it burns.

A neighbor has called to complain about vegetation overgrowth behind the property of 1304 S Washington St. The neighbor claims that vehicles traveling in the alley behind the named property are scratched by overgrown vegetation that should be trimmed back.
