The property owner on the northeast corner has a chain link fence with pine trees. The trees have become overgrown and are causing a line of sight problem for drivers pulling off of Huntington onto Miller Drive.
When I try to pull out of the Walnut St. parking lot for switchyard park onto Walnut St. there are always big tow trucks blocking my view of traffic to the north and I think there is a big limestone sign maybe marking Switchyard Park itself blocking my view to the south, so that I have to pull out fully blocking the sidewalk to see if it is safe to turn onto Walnut. I think it might be necessary for some cars to even stick into the roadway a little before they can see traffic approaching, especially bikers on the sidewalk, which is sort of common between this lot and Miller Drive
Citizen called to inform the City that at the corner of Wilton & Windsor (Greenbriar) is a line of sight issue. Trees are overhanging the street causing vehicles to move over to the other lane to avoid being hit by limbs and that there is not sufficient clearance to drive safely.
School bus drivers are saying there is a tree beside 1339 S Lismore that blocks their line of view trying to get out onto 17th St. They said there is no visibility whatsoever looking left. Can this be trimmed down, please? Thank you
McCammon called in regarding a line of sight problem at S. Rogers & Cherokee Drive. As you are pulling onto S. Rogers Street from Cherokee you can not see vehicles coming south on Rogers due to pine tree limbs.
During a meeting with today that Mr. Hazen had with the planning department, he mentioned concerns about the vegetation in the median of 3rd Street in the vicinity of his property at 1900 West 3rd Street. His concerns include: the height and density of the median vegetation prevents visibility across 3rd Street, prevents travelers on the roadway from seeing traffic in the opposing lanes, and prevents seeing someone who might be trying to cross 3rd Street mid block, etcetera. He asks that the vegetation be cut back.
