Line of Sight: Complaint

Walk In: During a meeting with today that Mr. Hazen had with the planning department, he mentioned concerns about the vegetation in the median of 3rd Street in the vicinity of his property at 1900 West 3rd Street. His concerns include: the height and density of the median vegetation prevents visibility across 3rd Street, prevents travelers on the roadway from seeing traffic in the opposing lanes, and prevents seeing someone who might be trying to cross 3rd Street mid block, etcetera. He asks that the vegetation be cut back.

Thanks for sharing this line of sight concern Michael. I have noted it for future landscape maintenance activities on the West third street medians.

Hi Joanna, This isn't a typical line of sight concern as it doesn't involve an intersection and we're not typically looking at line of sight for potential pedestrians crossing outside of marked crosswalks. Given that, I wanted to pass this your way. This wouldn't violate anything with Engineering, but wanted to make sure Parks saw the request
